11:11PM: Though there were a few interesting moments this year I was bored to tears during the last hour. No disrespect to BET, I mean what could they have done? Talent now-a-days is lackluster. There aren’t many stars out there. And though I hate myself a little for saying this, artists like Beyonce and Jay-Z add an element of excitement to any event.

But they still did pretty good this year. We all know BET has had some award show slip ups over the years.

11:10PM: FINALLY!! Lil' Wayne hit the stage. Of course T-Pain joined him. You just knew he was going give everyone what they wanted…the lollipop. Unfortunately there wasn’t much to the performance.

But when he started to perform “A Milli” everyone went ape sh*t. I’m talking standing ovation ape sh*t. People sure do love them some Wayne.

10:57 PM: Nelly, Ciara, Jermaine and Fergie hit the stage...crickets!

10:56:PM: I hate Ashanti’s laugh. It urks the f*ck out of me.

10:33PM: RiRi hit the stage to perform “Take A Bow”. I don’t care what anyone says Rihanna is slowly becoming a style icon. Whoever her stylist is needs to receive a fashion humanitarian award because RiRi looked a mess when she first stepped on the scene.

And how cute was it to see Chris Brown signing along to his girls song. Awwwwwwww!

9:45PM: Chris Brown [which let's be honest we were all waiting for] toned it down a little bit this year. Maybe Usher reached out and asked him to just fall back for the evening.

Oops spoke to soon.

Ciara did her thing on "Take You Down” and mind you that B*tch was wearing 4 inch heels. Damn Bow Wow just can't get no respect can he?

9:30PM: Gospel is SOHH not my thing! But Marvin Sapp [not sure if that’s really his name] brought it home.

9:12PM: T-Pain hit the stage with a pretty dope entrance. I know a lot of people don’t really look at him as singer, but I guess he showed us. The brutha is definitely talented.

Then Ricky Ross, and his belly had to come and ruin it all. Shivering…..

But when Ludacris. DJ Khaled and Big Boi hit the stage that’s when the sh*t got ILL!!!

8:57PM I’m going to need Alicia to bring it on home a lot better than she did. And just an FYI As a fan I wasn’t thrilled that she just took a set from her tour and came to the BET stage. I was looking for something more. But I still love Alicia!!

Damn SWV looked crazy as hell. I guess it’s a karmic retribution to have Coco being the fat one of the group now.

EnVouge are still doing their thing and looking good in the process.

TLC [and I hate to say this – it hurts my heart] needs to sit it on down. It’s a wrap.

But with all that said I love the girl power moment. Alica redeemed herself.

9:07PM: Pretty damn cool to see Kanye West bring Lil' Wayne on the stage even though he beat him for best Male in Hip-Hop.

8:44PM: Ne-Yo hit the stage and did his thing. But I couldn’t help but die laughing at how uneasy Queen Latifah appeared when Ne-Yo went out into the crowd to swoon the ladies. She is such a Dyke! LOL.

Photobucket

8:37 PM: Damn BET will run an idea into the ground. They made headlines when they reunited the entire cast of Good Times including Penny aka Janet Jackson. But this year it just didn’t work. Note to the producers if you’re going to reunite a cast make it ya business to get all of them or just scrap the idea. How you gonna bring out the cast of Boyz N Da Hood and not have Ice Cube up in the mix? You could tell by the audience that nobody cared.

But sidebar, Boyz N Da Hood seems like it was made centuries ago. Morris Chestnut and Cuba Gooding Jr. are looking like some old crows. I guess they ain’t good black because they were looking mighty cracked!

Photobucket

8:32PM: Keyshia Cole performed a TLC esque type rendition of her hit single “Sent From Heaven”. I’m just really happy that she actually finished the song without running out of air like she did the last time she touched the BET stage. Don’t even front like you don’t remember that embarrassment.

Photobucket

Did Lil' Kim really need be apart of Keyshia’s performance? Couldn’t we of have all been fine with her on the dat tape? I’m just sayin….

Photobucket

8:20PM: Young Jeezy performed his new single “Put On”. I don’t know, after hearing this song numerous times it still doesn’t do it for me. Add the fact that there really wasn’t anything special about the performance and I was bored to tears. Um and what was wrong with Kanye’s West microphone? I wasn’t moved by it one bit.

Photobucket

8:00PM: Usher kicked off the show with his hit "Love In Da Club”. I have absolutely no hate in my keystrokes. That man put it DOWN! I wasn't even bothered by the fac that he was lip syncing. It looks likes he’s finally giving us what we knew he still had to give. Chris Brown better sit the hell down because that’s the Usher I remember! Wow!!!

Pre Show Recap:

7:57 PM: What the hell is ‘Get Silly’? All that “talent” on the stage yet it seemed like a big mess rather then superstar performance. Bun B, Jermaine Dupri, Soulja Boy, DJ Unk and Polow Da Don all come together and this is the best they can do?

And someone tell Polow Da Don that he can wear all the black he wants ain’t no black in the world that can hide all that belly. I’m just sayin…

7:48PM: And just when I thought it couldn’t get any better ….to see Debra Lee trying to seem hip and cool while Nephie, Frankie and Pretty Ricky splaboo* it out on live television just made it even more hilarious.

7:47PM: Keyshia Cole’s mother dropping it like it was hot on live television was one of the most priceless moments of my life.

Photobucket

7:29PM: Somebody buy Flo Rida a personality. But with a body like that does he really need to have one? I’m just sayin….

Random Thought…..

When is BET going to get the damn memo that makeup, jewelry, couture, baggy urban wear and the damn bright ass sun don’t mix?? Why can’t they cover the damn red carpet with a big ass tent so that people can stop melting all over the place?

Photobucket

7:19PM: Damn Sean Kingston is a big ass brutha! Someone get that young kat into a gym. Who told him that ladies find all that thickness sexy? There should be a rule in hip-hop that we can only have one ‘fat bastard’ per genre. And Ricky Ross already got that title on lock.

7:18PM: I can’t, it’s just too easy! I will leave this to our fashion blogger.
