LL Cool J and Def Jam Trying To Pull A Fast One? Or Is Todd Smith Just Broke?

That's what it's looking like.

LL Cool J has ended up in the rumor mill today because word is rapidly spreading that homie might be a little financially strapped. Well, to be fair either he is or his label is. From what I'm hearing James' new video "Baby" featuring The Dream is casting for video vixens, but he's asking that all the extras bring their own costumes, and be willing to be only be paid $100.00 for the shoot. Scale for most videos is $350.00.

No word yet on where the nonunion video shoot will take place, however this doesn't look good to have one of the godfathers of hip-hop who still happens to be signed to one of the most popular hip-hop labels on the planet trying to take advantage of people just to save a few bucks.

Is it tough times for LL and Def Jam? Looks like it!
