If you're sick of hearing about the DL stuff that's coming out of Terrence Dean's new book I suggest you GET OVER IT. This is one of the most exciting gossip times since Usher and Maneka hooked up. An excerpt from the book has leaked and I wonder if you can guess who Terrence Dean is talking about.
According to Terrance Dean, his friend Sandy was working on a new movie that had major stars in it. The lead was "Lucas," who is a black megastar. No matter what film project he was attached to it was bound to be a box office smash. In Hollywood, he is considered a golden boy and very bankable. However, there were already many rumors swirling about his sexuality and even though he is married, it was hard for him to shake those pesky gay rumors."You're not going to believe this," Sandy said when I called her. "What's going on?" "Well, the crew is taking bets on Lucas. "What type of bets?" "Since we've been filming, his boy 'Kareem' comes by every day and they go into the trailer." "So what?" I said. "No, Kareem comes by and they are up in the trailer doing their thing."
Kareem is a leading sitcom actor, married to an actress. They both have appeared in movies but Lucas in the breakout sensation. His boy Kareem, however, found success in television as a leading actor.
The crew's bet was based on how often Lucas "boyfriend" would show up and how long he would stay. It was like clockwork; Kareem arrived each day at the same time and went straight to the trailer for hours on end. The bets grew larger and larger.
When I moved to Los Angeles and got into the DL world, our clique was talking about the downlow circle Lucas and Kareem were in-which I wanted to be a part of. But it was a hard nut to crack; they were superstars.

Its just to obvious that its couple #3. Denzel, Spike, Cube or Mike have not had much TV work but Dwayne has and Will gave him that job on "All of Us. If this guy does not use real names this, book won't be that interesting to me.

The entire concept of this book is immature and worthless. What is exactly is the value of blind items and tell-all (well really tell-none) books with changed names and no proof? Sure books will be sold but since none of it can be proved this could all be lies.

I guessed it right without looking at the photos. It is #3. Well, I purchased this book from Borders Books two (2) weeks ago so I don’t understand how it has a release date of May13th. That being unimportant, I only recently (as in Friday afternoon) had a chance to read the book.
As a Black brother “in the knowâ€and “on the lowâ€, I figured I’d check it out and see what he had to say, figuring it would be an expose of people I knew and those I suspected lived DL lifestyles. Much to my surprise it was not. The funny thing is I was able to figure out most of the pseudonymed figures by the context clues and by former/present associations.
The book is a good read and I was able to finish it on my looooooooooooooooooong flight back to Boston from Osaka. If you like this kind of “tell-all,†then you won’t be able to put it down either. For those naive individuals who have no knowledge of our lifestyle, it is quite informative and educational.
I liked it; I’m going to read it again to make sure I didn’t miss anything and I recommend you add it to your summer reading list.
