What is going with our rappers these days? First T.I made his court appearance, and walked out a happy man. Then Remy Ma saw her life flash before her eyes as the jury handed down her "shocking" guilty conviction. But while the aforementioned await sentencing, it looks like Philly is about to lose Beanie – at least for the next three months.
According to published reports late Friday afternoon a federal judge decided to throw the former Roc-A-Fella recording artists in the slammer for multiple violations of his supervised release.
Sigh, Here's the breakdown:
Authorities said Sigel, whose real name is Dwight Grant, gave a false urine sample to probation officials on Feb. 29 and also tested positive five times earlier this month for controlled substances, including Xanax and Percocet.SourceThe former is used to treat anxiety and the latter is typically used to treat moderate to severe pain, but is considered very addictive.
U.S. District Judge R. Barclay Surrick sentenced Sigel, 34, to three months in prison and one additional year of supervised release, which he is to continue in a drug-treatment program.
Beanie was already serving a six-month term in a halfway house for having previously violated supervised release. Apparently "financial pressure" is the reason Beanie is giving for his failed drug tests. He's been reported as expressing that the only gets 14 cents per record. And unfortunately his legal situation doesn't allow him to tour and collect show money.
Whatever happened to his State Property Imprint? Maybe he and Remy can be pen pals.
Lets hope that nobody from the slammer has seen this video. Yo Beanie, don't drop the soap homie.
