Jay-Z And LA Reid Beefing? Plus, R Kelly Airs Out Former Publicist's Husband!!

Can anyone honestly say that they didn't see this rumor coming?

According to my girl floxie Ray by way of Mahogany Girl, apparently there is beef brewing between executive LA Reid, and executive wannabe Shawn Carter. According to the rumor mill their seems to be an issue brewing over the final album that's due by the self-proclaimed "best rapper alive". Apparently Def Jam and Jay Z are clashing over the last album he owes the label. It seems that Def Jam is giving Jay Z the run around and have left him on the shelf while they try to save the label and the Def Jam brand. From what I hear Def Jam has "no plans to release a Jay Z album" anytime soon and those news reports about an album are just to "keep Jay at bay".

Additionally, tt is rumored that the historic level, and once to top tier company is over ONE HUNDRED MILLION dollars in debt. They apparently thought they were going to have big success with Janet Jackson, but after "Feedback" was a certified flop, and with no fan fare from "Rock With You, or the other song [ I cant even remember the name]. They're looking for Mariah Carey to save the day.

Basically, it's a mess over there. First Arista, and now Def Jam I think it's safe to say that LA Reid must've just been lucky with La Face.

The SOHH news department reported on Friday the reason[s] why R.Kelly's longtime publicist, Regina Daniels, suddenly resigned last year. Well the pied piper of little girls [allegedly] has released a statement of his own accounts of the situation. Check it out:

“It’s hard to take seriously the moral outrage expressed by George and Regina Daniels over R. Kelly’s relationship with Mr. Daniels’ adult daughter, Maxine. The fact is that they had no problem with the relationship — indeed, they encouraged it — while Ms. Daniels was on Mr. Kelly’s payroll.

It was Regina Daniels, then working as a publicist for Mr. Kelly, who persuaded him to attend her step-daughter’s 21st birthday party. And it was Regina Daniels who shortly thereafter gave her step-daughter Mr. Kelly’s private phone number, with the admonition: ‘Don’t tell your father.’ It was only after Ms. Daniels resigned her position to avoid being fired for incompetence that her stepdaughter’s relationship suddenly became an issue for her and her husband.”

As much as I really hate to be on the side of the Chester [you know, the m________er]. He does have a point. How can any parent come to the defense of a 21 year old girl? I am actually happy to know that at least she's legal!
