WTF, Media Outlets Are Responsible for "American Gangster" Leak?

Word on the Streetz is Denzel Washington is highly pissed that bootleggers have ruined any chance at his new gangsta flick from making a serious dent at the box office. But the movie isnt the only thing that's being effected.

My sources are telling me that Def-Jam has launched an investigation in attempt to find out which media outlet leaked Jay-Z's new CD online. From what I understand Island/Def Jam sent exactly 15 review copies of Jay-Z's American Gangster out to journalists--and thats when tracks mysteriously ended up online. While most CD's get usually get leaked a week or two before the album drops, it's never hit a record label this hard. Or so I'm told.

I got to blame the record labels for sending out advanced copies of one the most anticipated albums of the year. You dont do that anymore. Sh*t you gather up the important media people and get them in a studio to hear it all at once. Duh.....
