Game On Retirement Status, Jeezy Still In Commission

A week just wouldn't be complete here at SOHH without a rumor about Game leaving G-Unit. But this time around he's saying after this next album release, he's leaving G-Unit AND the entire rap game. Check out video of his proclamation here. He says it's retirement time since he's "said everything he had to say". Oh really? I put 5 on it he'll have about 3 more albums in the next 2 years.
Despite his arrest last week, Jeezy is still on par to perform at Boost Mobile RockCorps' event on June 9th in the ATL. The concert will reward 3,000 hard-working local youth who have volunteered four hours of community service through BMRC to earn tickets to this ultra-exclusive event. I guess they still think Jeezy is a good example for how to act in your community.

The Game is the best rapper in the biz right now. His Devil Advocate album is a definite hip hop classic but it is not said. Maybe 50 has somethin to do with that. Ok idiots here's a fact of any business where there's distribution (wholesale, retail, manufacturing, etc).
Yes Em and Dre got paid off of 50 but he sold so many albums that he gets a 50% split with them (which is 25% of his profit from HIS personal albums). The other 50% goes to Interscope. All G-Unit projects he gets 50% and Interscope gets the other 50%, not Em or Dre.
When you sign with a label the label markets you and shit. When the label goes to a "major" like interscope it is for distribution. It costs a lot of money to produce cd's and a lot more to market plus they get you into big name stores. That is the price you pay.
Game signed a contract. He is officially "self employed". It is like an NBA player signing to the Spurs. You can't just quit and leave. They have to trade you but there is a price for that trade. Game originally did this with Aftermath/G-unit or did you all forget? Did you forget about the Lox?
Game is signed under Aftermath/G-Unit/Geffen/Interscope. His money is cut up 4 different ways before he even sees a slice. Aftermath and G-Unit get 25% each.
Game only made about 250g'z off of the Doctors Advocate. After tax, legal fees (setting that deal up to "leave" G-Unit), etc etc he only made about 150g'z. Why do you think Yayo was dissing him putting his money out on the streets?

I do not for a fact Games contract. He has a starter deal. 50, Dre, all of them said it. You have to sell HUGE numbers then negotiate for a better deal. He was going to get G-Unit West but he fucked it up. So he made the blackwall street shit but Interscope said they'd have to see how he does before they do a deal with him. It goes like this. 50 is obviously a better business man than Game. 50 portrays himself in the media better than game. He got lucky. What happened to 50 is, he had a hot first album, he built up a buzz, the media ran with it, his whole thing blew up. Everything 50 has come out with since then is garbage. I dont dislike him, it happens to a lot of rappers. He is overexposed and his flow isnt a hungry. He is a smart guy though, a good business man, very articulate and his money reflects all that. However, game is a much better lyricist. He does flip flop, but lyrically, for my taste, there is no rapper under 30 who can stand toe to toe with him lyrically, gangsta rap wise.
50 really owes his success to the fact that (white)media members consider themselves cool when they get to say "fitty"(which sounds stupid the way they say it) and he makes them feel cool too, so they blow him up. One hot album, thats it.
