Busta Clears Up His Manhood, Mos Def Dropping in December?

Posted on November 28, 2006 6:16 AM

In a recent interview with SOHH, Busta lets people know why he did work with Game (he hopped on the "Doctor's Advocate" title track), despite what the G-Unit folks warned him of what would hapen if he did. Word had it that since Aftermath and G-Unit stick together, anybody who works with Game on the Doctor's Advocate can chunk up the duece to the G-Unit/Aftermath family. But Busta said he's a grown ass man so he does what he wants. He hopped on a track with Game and is still playing his position on the Aftermath label. Either the head honcho over there at Aftermath gets no respect, or one of his own people just single handedly confirmed he (y'all know who I'm talking about) and all the shit he talks is whack. Either way....funny shit.

December just got more interesting. Whoever didn't release an album in November is definitely releasing one in December, and this just may include Mos Def. Sources tell me that his next LP Tru3 Magic, which was pushed back from its September 19th release date, is hitting the stands some time in December. His last album was in 2004 (The New Danger) and the one before that was in 1999 (Black on Both Sides). So word had it this album just may get tucked away for another few years like the last one did. But it looks like this one is about to get that rush release treatment.

I'm a Mos fan, but the only problem is his movies have gotten more promo than all his albums have put together. Looks like Geffen Records is about to pull that trick those labels like to pull when they need to get rid of an artist...fast. Damn shame.
