Akon Talks About His Multiple Wives and New Movie, 50 Cent's Still A Bully

Akon said on New York's Hot 97 last week that he has multiple wives -- seven to be exact -- and that's just his lifestyle. He's happy with it and so are the women in his life. But now, he's telling media sources that he can't talk about his polygamist lifestyle out in the open anymore. After being on Hot 97, he got calls from "higher powers" who practice polygamy that have been getting death threats and a lot of flack about the lifestyle. Since Akon said on the radio last week that he is Muslim and this is a "Muslim practice," many Muslims got offended (or scared) and now make him feel like he should keep his lifstyle underwraps. When the source asked him if he lived with all of the women, he said of course not because it would ruin the situation. Funny ish.

Hopefully he can find seven women to cast as his wives. Supposedly Akon's making a movie deal to get his biopic on the big screen. And Mekhi Phifer is slated to play him. People have been saying Akon has a very interesting background for a life story. But keep it real... Are we really trying to go see Akon's life story at the movies? I thinks not.

The saga with 50 Cent and the editor of XXL magazine continues. It all started when 50's former manager Chaz "Slim" Williams had a sit down with a XXL writer for a story on 50's past. Slim had problems with 50 -- of course -- and wanted to air his side of the story through the mag. He gave a lot of dirt on 50 and in true bully form, 50 got pissy. He found out about the dirty laundry Slim aired and threatened pulling his ads out of XXL's print mag if they didn't scrap the interview or make it sound better. Supposdly, Slim has proof that 50 is lying about how many times he was shot -- if ever shot at all --and his hardknock lifestlye that has been exaggerated. XXL said "hell no" to 50 and ran Slim's story in the November issue anyway. The mag isn't saying either way of whether or not there is any truth to Slim's accusations. But yesterday, when a blogger for XXL wrote about the issue at hand, the story was yanked that same day. Word is that the mag is trying to make nice with 50 since they've pissed him off at this point. So they're trying to squash any rehashing of the situation. I guess they're starting to fall for 50's bullying tactics. Sad.
