Idlewild hits stores next Tuesday, but if you're like me that's too damn long to wait. They have the tracks out on their myspace page, but you can't navigate through the album on there. [Editor's Note: The album has been removed from this blog.]
Automatic classic? Speak on it...
As most of us know, Weezy F was arrested on Monday (Aug 14) on drug possession charges in Atlanta. But now, his official police record has been FOUND OUT off of the Fulton County Sheriff booking info website. According to his booking record, Dwayne Carter (his gub'ment -- government if you proper like -- name) was born in September of 1979. This would make this dude 26. Now this is in direct contrast to what he always claims to the media (and in his lyrics) that he is now 23.
I will say that I've know Wayne since before he blew up nationally and was in 8th grade at McMain School in New Orleans (my high school was about 2 minutes away). And this ni**a always claimed to be a year younger than me. So since I'm 24 -- this would make him 23. So somebody's lyin in this piece. The internet streetz are buzzin about this because this is the second possible time Wayne may be caught up in some liar type shit. First the ghostwriting, now this. And if he really is 27 -- then Juve and BG have also been found out as some old ass dudes who been lying too since they always talk about how much older they are than Weezy.
Maybe it was a mistake on Wayne's part when filling out the form -- but I doubt it. Rappers lying about their age now? Damn shame. That is SOHH not gangsta.
