Beenie Man Gets Hitched And Creates Beef, Papoose Signs With Jive

Well it looks like Beenie Man stayed out of lockdown long enough to get locked into marriage. Yesssir. On Tuesday (august 22) he married his fiance Michelle 'D'Angel' Downer. And his new pregnant wifey will be delivering his son in October. Even though they both had tears of joy at the ceremony, now the two are dealing with a beef situation with rapper Bounty Killer. Most of y'all know those two have been beefing for years, but now shit just got more intense after the engagement. Apparently, Bounty Killer and D'Angel were together for 7 years before she got with Beenie.
And a few months ago is when the beef heated up after Beenie and D'Angel announced they were getting married. At Memorial Fest this year, Bounty kept referring to Beenie as "Betweenie Man" during his set, basically calling him gay. So Beenie responded at the end of his set with:
"Angel lef' you cause she tired of that tongue you got…".
To top it, D'Angel, with her barely bulging belly, joined Beenie Man onstage for part of his set.
And then at the recent Sumfest 2006, Bounty kept talking shit about the couple during his set and said he was provoked by the two of them. And of course, Moses Davis responded in true Beenie Man fashion. He said:
"There is a war going on between me and Killer because of my expected wife... Is not my fault make Jamaica love me, is not my fault."
I guess we'll have to wait and see how all this mess plays out.
It's official. Papoose has signed a $1.5 million record deal with Jive Records. Over a month ago Pap said we would know in 2 weeks who he was getting the 1.5 mill from. And apparently Jive is the one. Hope all this equates to pushing units for him. Only time will tell.
