Word in the industry streetz -- and according to a very credible source -- is that David Banner is about to fly the SRC Records coop. Yup, the Pimp himself is leaving his Street Records Label and the SRC folks are real salty about it. Banner is not the least bit pleased with CEO Steven Rifkind and the first line of his new joint "Get Money" is a diss to Rif. Get the leak of that new joint right here.

New single? I guess that means Mr. Banner is on that comeback/new album release tip. And I'm not complaining. Now the question is which label is he flying too?

In the meantime, Banner has the hip-hop humanitarianism game on lock. He's doing big things for his community and it's about time people took notice. Seeing that I'm from New Orleans and was affected by all this Katrina/Rita foolishness too, I have the utmost appreciation. Big up to Dave and his "Heal the Hood" organization.
For the people interested in hearing that Snoop/Taylor Hicks collabo I posted about a couple days ago:
Here's the clearest video available on the net right now. It's far away from the stage, but the audio is clear:
And a clip from Taylor's interview after the concert:
“I have the greatest respect for Snoop Dogg as an artist, but also as a family man, a businessman and an integral part of pop culture. Rap music has the most advanced lyricism there is. Rap is real; there’s nothing pretentious about it. I’m very excited about appearing with Snoop. I think it’s great.â€
Look at Taylor tryin' to get that street cred.....
