ego trip's Miss Rap Supreme ep. 4: The One Where The Show Lost All Credibility

First of all, let me start off this re-cap by stating that I was HIGHLY disappointed with this episode in all aspects. Usually, this show gives me some kind of fodder to work with, but it was just lackluster to the point where I almost can’t bring myself to comment on it.
And those of you who watched, you know that elimination was BULLSH-T.
Serch and Yo lost ALL credibility one that one.
But for those of you who didn’t peep it last night, let me bring you up to date with the fuckery.
The episode starts off by highlighting the new trifecta of the house: Lez-Byata, Rece and Nicky2States, who have joined forces with a common goal: to hate on Chiba, chiba, y’all. They want her to take off her shades and reveal her eye, which to me, they need to chill with. As much as I am starting to dislike Chiba, I think that the matter of her eye injury is a delicate matter and if Slick Rick could go around not exposing his, then she doesn’t have to expose hers. Everybody can’t be BIG and be proud of their crooked/misaligned eye. This is getting really ridiculous, as you can see. I’m starting not to give a f-ck anymore, because like I said, Chiba and Byata are cut from the same cloth. Both of their phoniness astounds me, and B got Nicky and Rece caught up like the sheep they are (especially Rece, she’s SUCH a co-signer. I still can’t get over her “Chiba’s the devil?!?” statement from last week.)
So, as we all know, the challenges are preceded by these pageants and this week’s pageant requires the girls to do a renactment of Shakespeare’s Hamlet. Yup, exactly what you’re thinking... to be or not to be, my n-gga, that’s what the f-ck I asked you! Or, something like that.
I have a deep respect for Shakespeare... so I hated this. All I got out of this was learning that some n0ggas in the world just have NOTHING to do with their time... like John Singleton. What the fuck?! They were probably halting the production of “Baby Boy 2" just so he could watch this stupidity.
I don’t care what they say. I was unmoved by Nicky “Die, Muthaf-cka Die” 2States” and Lady “Take A Dirt Nap, Son” Twist’s acting. But whatever. Somebody had to win this joint.
So, the teams are chosen and they learn that their challenge is to create a verse, hook and dance step routine. This immediately causes a problem for Twist, due to her size and stature. Did y’all peep Chiba during the rehearsals though? Shorty really needs to fall the f-ck back.
Now, let’s deviate and talk about The 3 Vs. Chiba situation. Lady Twist obviously senses the tension, and tries to mediate between the two camps. Yet, while The 3 try to convince Twist of why they feel that way, Chiba just dusts off Twist like she wasn’t sh-t. Which lead to this statement:
Lady Twist: It’s either get intoxicated or cuss everbody out. Intoxicated it is!
My girl.
So, on to the challenge. What did y’all think of them?

Personally, I thought Bre stepped it up a notch this time (but WHY was she krumping?! HA!) around. She knew that she was on the chopping block and needed to step up her performance.
Again, EVERYBODY proved to be lackluster. None of their rhymes or dance moves impressed me. And if anyone should’ve won the “Salt N Pepa” suite, it should’ve been Nicky because I was actually feeling her hoochie routine this week (that’s how DESPERATE I was to find something I liked this time around).
You know what? Eff all this. I wanna talk about that bullsh-t elimination of how they got rid of my girl Lady Twist.
Obviously, Twist’s team lost and to Byata’s delight, for the first time, Chiba is up for elimination.
The girls are told that they have to write a rhyme about drama– including drama they’ve witnessed go down in the house. Cherry’s rhyme was okay; Bre SERIOUSLY needs to work on making her rhymes tighter. I’m not even looking at her performance– she needs to write her ideas more concretely. The sole fault with Twist’s rhyme is that she didn’t really include herself in the rhyme. And Chiba? On top of her sh-t being “waaaack. Waaaack!”, she f-cked it up. I was already to get my Team Byata shirt printed up by then. But, it has been established that Twist and Chiba are at the bottom this week.
Yo and Serch decided to cut Twist instead of Chiba.
WHAT THE FUCK?!
First of all, like Serch said, Twist is not only a femcee, she’s a storyteller. Unfortunately that worked against her this week– you don’t necessarily have to be IN a story to tell it. BUT, she has ALWAYS been consistent, never f-cks up, and she seems like she takes time to think about what she’s going to rhyme about instead of just going off her emotions (ahem! Chiba! Khia!)
She’s dope, period. Cutting her off means that 1) this show really isn’t about sh-t, and 2) I actually think Rece or Nicky2States may actually have a chance at winning this, two women who I would rather see walk the hoe stroll than win Miss Rap Supreme.
Damn. Sad day at the Fembassy. But don’t fret. Unlike these other chicks, Twist shows signs of actually having a REAL future, whether its with rapping or becoming a journalism (GET THAT DEGREE, MAMA!). She’ll be alright.
Miss Rap Supreme is being preempted next week, but the FOLLOWING week... THE INNER VIDEO HOOCHIES ARE REVEALED– YOU DON’T WANNA MISS!!

Maybe its just me but the more I watch this show the more I understand how Nicky2States got 4 kids...hell I even wanted to fuck after watching last night (what can I say, I'm a sucka for a damn freak! Lol). I liked last night's performances, I think lyrically both were on point (my girl Ms. Cherry ripped it off swag alone, sorry Breez lol). I hated the elimination because Lady Twist was too sick to be the 4th person sent home but at the end of the day she doesn't need this as much as some of the others because she's damn near done with school. Breezy, we need to find her & start a magazine or sumthin lol.

i agree this was one of the dumbest episodes ive seen. Lady Twist DID NOT deserve to be sent home. it made me rethink watching this trash any further. im sick of Chiba too but Byata and the whole eye thing was extra but then again Chiba did play the "ur a white devil card" so u get wat u give.
mannnn.......f this show, twist won the elimination hands down. Chiba and bree should of been the last two. i agree with Fiyah, Ms. Cherry ripped it, im starting to feel her. i think im in love with nicky freaky ass, its something about them hood chicks....any way i with u on this 1 bre....this show sucks..... bring twist back and get rid of left eye no2....
I can't even watch this show anymore. I am actually emabarassed for these broads. But I agree with you I did like Lady Twist more than the rest of them, even with being big and a lesbian, she carried herself with more dignity than anyone else in the house. The lil 2states chick needs to get back on the stroll with her played out tryin to be foxy routine. Lookin more like walkin VD. I hate broke hoes. If you gonna be a hoe at least get payed well for it.lol.

Lady Twist is NICe however one thing you are forgetting..yes she talked about the drama in the hose..even went so far as to look at those in it however..for the person who didn't previously have knowledge of it..they were left wondering what was going on..her 16 bars were for those in the inside knowing..clever but she has to speak on it like no one else knew and that's what got her..also she didn't stand up as the captain of her crew. If it was just based on the bars she wouldn't have left, however that wasn't her only strike against her. I do agree Chiba needs to fallback..but Twist was ready to bounce anyway, she can't do the catty bitch thing so she's good

I always enjoy Miss Supreme because to see both YoYo and Serch is a blessing. BET VH1, and MTV need to recognize that both of them are important to HIPHOP's History. Give them a HIPHOP honor. Know The Ledge. Forget the contestants for a sec. When you get the opportunity to see Short Dog, Charlie B-More, Ghost, John Singleton, it's great because we grew up with all of them. As far as the ladies, Byata is getting to cocky and needs to chill. Nicky2States has flavor and brings it. Chiba has more to say, she just had a minor hicup this past episode. Bree needs to work on flow, delivery, and consistency. La Star's daughter, Rece is fair and Ms. Cherry carries herself on the Mic very well. People do not recognize the importance of this show. This is not about buffonery like some of these other wack ass reality shows. It's about HIPHOP and to see who's is the best MC on the Mic period.
Its funny because I read a lionezz interview on inkstarzz.com and she kind of mentioned all this childish stuff going on..... it kind of makes me wonder if any of these females deserve the money now I mean they really are trash so if this show is hiphop We should get our R.I.P hiphop shirts soon
VH1 vid's don't work in Australia.... weak, considering we can't even get the show over here anyways. Doesn't look like I'm missing out on much... I wonder if www.eztv.it has it....
These girls are wack MC's plus they are TACKY none of'em has any class or style. What the hell do they be wearing.Reece, Nicky2states, and Ms.Cherry have the best ryhmes outta all the chics, since they got rit of Twist,but they still can come way harder than what they doin. I think the setup of show is lame and so are the challenges. It all looks cheap.
Judging from the selection process footage this show isn't about skills at all but more about drama. I love the concept and production-style of the show, but they picked some whack-ass wannabe MC's... fo real. How else would anyone not laugh Lionez off the mic? It's more about entertainment than finding a good MC... and about teaching some hip hop history to a lot of these cats that just don't know.
