Making The Band 4 Season 2 FINALE: Highlights from On-Screen... AND BACKSTAGE!

Thaaaat's right, y'all! While y'all were sitting at home, comfortably watching the finale on your comfortable couches, I stood backstage at the in-studio taping at MTV. So YES, I got to see Day26, Danity Kane AND Donnie (not to mention Diddy) do their thing in person. I got to see some other interesting folks, too (Ankh-Ra was there, but no Mike Biv, sorry-- but I heard HE JUST HAD A BABY) and got some interesting sound clips. (Actually, they're all video clips, but some I had to change into sound because of a faulty camera and the horrible lighting in the hallway at MTV that they had the press lined up at... as opposed to last finale when the lighting was excellent.)
Before I get into anything, let me just tell you something about these six guys, something that was also witnessed on the pre-filmed part of the finale. These guys know how to work it. They go extra hard with the charm, and make you feel like you're the only one in their field of view. When they're talking to you, they're talking to YOU. That sh*t Donnie pulled on that Philadelphia DJ? That wasn't for the camera. That boy just don't know! Like Diddy said, "he gonna have some more black friends." Forget that. I can see Donnie SWIMMING thru the chocolate cooch. NO WONDER Aubs be throwin' it so hard!

One last thing before I go to the next page... you wanna know where Donnie gets his charm? He gets it from his Daddy! Mr. Klang was chilling backstage actually trying to sing "I Want You (Exclusive)". It was cute, in a dorky kind of way.

LOL, Big Mike betta watch out!There's SOO much to say about actually being at the studio, that I won't comment on the pre-taped stuff except to say that it was wild. Same ol' sh*t, DK showboats, Day26 gets huffy. I wish Que and Dawn would get their ish together, but judging from that kiss, maybe they will... hmm...
Touching base on what I mentioned before, did y'all peep the way Day26 tamed Miss Jones' kitty? I don't particularly care for her, but it was interesting to see how she tried to diss DK (AGAIN), yet ain't have sh*t to say to the guys. She was all cheesin' and sh*t, like, "Busta who?" She must've felt like a girl of 25 all over again.
It's that Day26 magic. It's that grown-ass Hannah Montana sh*t, fa'real for real.
I mean, it's REALLY easy to hate on these guys week in and out, but when you're in close promiximity with them? Like sharing the same breathing space? Sh*t gets a lil' complicated, B. And not because they're celebs, because since I got into this game I've met quite a few and it's been like, "yeaah... okay... you're you... so...what?" (i.e. when I spoke to members of Danity Kane, as nice as they are, but still...) But these guys will make you feel TWITTERPATED. Bird, if you're reading this, girl, let me teeeeell you about ya man Willie!
I'm gonna break the guys down like this (and right now, I'm REALLY AGGY because the pics I took WON'T UPLOAD TO THE F*CKING BLOG! ARRGGHH!!) But here we go...
Willie is really nice. He posed for the pics and even said, "Good look on your blog!" I had to shake my head because I'm like, "if he only knew I dubbed this guy 'Country Dumb'".. and he preserves the sexy verrrry nicely, let me tell you. On top of which, he proved to be really humble, which is a total 180 from when I first met them. When the album drops, just purchase a dictionary and you'd be the ULTIMATE CATCH, seriously.
Surprisingly, Que is really down-to-earth. We actually talked because I told him I'd met him before at the last Finale, and he also posed for a photo. He didn't demonstrate ANY bitchassness. And those lips! Don't get me started...
Big Mike took a photo as well, and he's really laid back dude. I don't have really much to say about him.
Didn't get a chance to catch up with Robert, but what shocked me is that he's not as tall as I thought he was (definitely under 6'0"). Junebug also breezed past me-- now, this is what I got to say about this chick. Either she's really smart or really stupid for coming on the show and admitting that she wasn't Rob's girl, ESPECIALLY during the whole D.Woods fiasco. She's either a) getting some paper to lie about her and Rob (and I don't necessarily mean in the form of a check ala Papa Diddy), or b) trying to get publicity for that book she's trying to publish (GO TO HER MYSPACE) or c) is a chick hopelessly devoted to bitchassness. ANYWAY--
I saved the best for last. Brian A. truly embodies crazysexycool. NOW, WAIT, LADIES! Don't attack me! MTV's cameras must not be worth SH*T, because they do not do him justice. This boy is fine as all hell. Not only that, he crazy! He came up to me and hugged me realllly tight (JUST LIKE LAST SEASON) and danced with me in the hallway for a few minutes! I was like, "booy if you don't stop..." ::wink:: lol...
Not only that, he took TWO adorable photos with me (and now I'm REALLY ANGRY THEY'RE NOT POSTING!)
He also allowed me to get some video footage of him. Mind you, it's CRAP, but you can clearly hear what he is saying (which is most important):
Ok, let's talk about the girls:
They looked good. Really uniform, and on-point with their performances and what not. Shannon was looking particularly nice, but she was probably glowing from that birthday shine she received from the audience during the taping. Speaking of Shannon, she's not as tall as I thought she was. And just exactly the opposite, the rest of DK is actually taller than I thought (including Aundrea, I thought she'd be shorter than me but we're actually eye-to-eye and I'm 5'2"). I actually got the chance to speak to her as well as Dawn for a few, so check it out here.
You know who I didn't get to talk to but I was dying to? Seven! I was talking to a Day26-er but caught this dude in the corner of my eye. He's very tall, and was rocking a teal-grayish tight black jacket with black studs, and a straight wig that Andre3000 would be proud of (no feathers, though). And he's reaaaaally soft-spoken, like Jackson family soft-spoken. I really can't wait for that "Dr. Love" track to drop.
And.... for those of you who are wondering.... NO I DIDN'T GET TO TALK TO DIDDY. He was running around like a jackrabbit on crack pushing those damn tee-shirts so hard, and screaming "it's some grown ass Hannah Montana sh*t!" that you didn't know what to do. Go ahead and order those shirts on that website if you want to. I'm telling you-- YOU WON'T GET A BITCHASSNESS SHIRT. THE END.
And that "special announcement"? I could've done without that. That tour as well as the fact that there's gonna be a new season was obvious. I got an announcement for y'all: John O. told me that the MTB4 Season 2 SPOOFS will begin shooting the first week of April. I think that's more interesting, don't you think?
I can't wrap this up without mentioning the prescence of two other superstar females running around backstage: DIDDY'S TWIN GIRLS! Under the watchful eye of a nanny, they toddled down the MTV hallways with their matching purple track suits like they were destined to be there. And yes, they look like Diddy, except cuter.
So.. what are y'all thinking? Do you feel we got to know a lil' bit more about our guys than expected? Are you glad it's over, or are you already anticipating the next season? What were your favorite moments from the season? You think throwing Danity Kane in the mix turned out to be a good idea? Wassup?

I like Dawn and Que. I think thay make a cute couple. What is going on with D.Woods??? She always make a face when other people in the group start talking. I'm not a hater at all!!! But she really need to do sometinh about that hair (Due(If you want to call it that). The boys are doing there thing!! Is it me or did is trying to make them the next New Edition?? Look at the way they perform?? but i like them alot. i hope both groups do well!!!!! and get paid this time. DK never got a check from the first CD or any money from the tour with Christiana.

i kinda enjoyed the show last night, dk as a whole was lookin hot, willie was fine as usual, and day26 were on point, especially with the dancing at the begining of "got me going"... am i the only person that noticed that mike is getting a lil pudgy again? All that progress and he seems to be slippin a lil.
I kno people gonna hate me for this, but donnie's performance was the worse last night, his dancing was a lil off, he was a lil outta breath and he wasnt hittin those high notes! He is a cutie but he needs to step up with the performance cuz everyone else is killin him. it was a good show overall, im waiting on what BIRD has to say...
To Adrian.....i was thinking the same thing about Mike. I will tell u before watching this after everyone got picked i was really excited but now watching this season i have lost all interest. For me last night put a cap on it. I know some people think they did good but i think they look sloopy. Q actually was sagging?...... Yea im not feeling it at all.

Why are they making Robert lie about his relationship with June? Don't nobody give a damn about that girl. I'm sure he will dump her soon enough in favor of massive amounts of groupie love which leads me to Que and Dawn.

Dawn is a grown a$$ woman. Why is she trying to get with Q? He has been keeping her at arms length the whole time as far as a relationship is concerned yet she keeps encouraging the crumbs that he throws here way. That boy is a teenager. HE WILL PARTAKE OF THE GROUPIE LOVE. Dawn can forget it. She will never have him and she shouldn't be wanting that youngin.

I could have lived without Danity Kane on the show, but that is just me. I won't be getting their album, but please believe I will be getting the boy's first thing in the morning. I'm also going to get Donnie's because I like the Prince style of it.
I forgot to mention that I like that Donnie didn't do much dancing because we know that boy just can't do it. I also think the boys dance too much. The movement takes away from their vocals due to the fact that they are winded. They need to come up with a routine that they can do right in front of the mic. I want to hear them sing more than see them dance. I pray they come to Charlotte during their tour.
Donnie sucked he looked like he was trying out for american idol. How in the hell did he get a solo deal???

I'm so sad the show is over because I will certainly miss your recaps. The finale was okay and I appreciate your info on the happenings backstage. After this episode, I really started to dislike DK. You know what, they talked down to D26 every chance they got. Don't those "hookers" know they were in the same boat no long ago? That really annoyed me. Before MTB, I was not a big Diddy fan, but I have since changed my opinion of him. He may be wack, etc., but he's gettin that PAPER!!! I may get Donnie's 'cause I love me some Prince and Seven is off the chain!!!! Stay cool, Breezy!!!!!
