Yuuupp.... I tried to deny it. But it’s true.
Mann, I usually catch these episodes On-Demand, but I found myself catching the actual Sunday 9pm broadcast just to MAKE SURE HBO didn’t pull the okey-doke on the kid. They didn’t.
What’s ironic is that all the while Omar’s going off during his very last stashhouse robbery:
“You workin' a Stanfield corner, which means you workin' for a straight up punk! Ya' feel me? I'm out here in these streets every day, me and my lonesome, and where he at? Huh? Ayo, ya'll put it in his ear, Marlo Stanfield is not a man for this town, ya' dig?”
apparently, there is a “man for this town”: Lil’ Kenard.
Now, Marlo and Chris can go ball in Atlantic City. Play on, playas. Better eat some lobster too, ‘cuz that’s fittin’ to be your last meal. Bunk’s got the DNA on Partlow (because of the alley beatings), and as soon as McNulty gets off his sh*t, he’s coming for that a-s.
Unless someone doesn’t get at you first for riding in the whip bumping "Ay Bay Bay". What the f-ck was that about?
I don’t know what was worse– that scene, or the fact that someone decided to give Jim Jones some unnecessary burn in this show.
In terms of the episode’s title... that last scene with the coroner was a helluva clarification, how wasn’t it?
In the comments section of my last post (as well as in my e-mail box), some of you lamented over Omar’s death, ranting about how it was wack, and if he were to get got, that wasn’t the way to take him out. I’ve read some other forums, where people have complained that the writers stripped away his dignity, having him limp around town during his last days and then not even have him die in a fair man-to-man shootout. I’ve had quite a few conversations over how was it that he got his head blown by just a young hopper. But, in the prophetic words of our favorite stick-up (as someone reminded me): “that be the game”.
On the plot development side of things, I think it *HAD* to happen this way. In retrospect, he wasn’t meant to take out the Stansfield Trifecta. However, please believe that all three of them n*ggas will meet their Maker in each his own way and time by the time this sh*t wraps up.
What baffles me is why Marlo has let this n*gga Cheese live as long as he has. Someone care to “clarify” that for me?
Speaking of the Treacherous Three, that fine @$$ (yes, I think he’s HOT) Sydnor finally cracked the code with the clocks. Apparently, the hands have to do with the longitude and latitude of locations on the map of Baltimore, and they figure that every place is within a 30-60 minute distance. Damn. Did anyone figure that at all? That’s some slick sh*t, B...
Also, in keeping with the theme of clarifications, we have to talk about what happened with Templeton and the PTSD-afflicted ex-Marine. Seriously, I mean Gus needs to just dead this guy’s career once and for all– he’s a LIAR! It was completely wrong of him to fabricate and tamper with the actual events of Terry Hanning’s story just because he’s a lazy reporter. The look on Gus’s face when Hanning revealed “ we didn’t have coffee, it was chocolate milk” was priceless.
Another priceless scene in this episode was when the FBI relayed a profile of the Homeless Serial Killer off to McNulty– wow. Listening to that profile was almost shocking– especially to McNulty, he looked like “damn, they pegged me. ” Yeah, ish is about to b r e a k. You saw that when that other detective tried to manipulate the system Mc Robin Hood set up. I guess what finally makes him realize the sh*t is getting waaaay outta control is when he peeps Kima about to dive head first into the profiles. And no, she didn’t have the Freamon reaction– she was piiiiiised (can you blame her?). Food for thought: At first I thought that Alma the reporter would play a role in Jimmy’s downfall, but now I’m wondering... will Kima snitch?
Whatever winds up happening, the conclusion to which many of you predicted for McNulty appears imminent. Especially since, by the looks of this episode, Beadie won’t be there to ease his fall from grace.
Yeah, I know this one was short-- but I will go longer for the last two episodes.
RIP Omar Little.

I believe it's Snoop, not Chris that gets got next week. Quite a FEW have dimed me up on some theories and explanations as to exactly HOW this was going to play out (hint: it involves Mike's mom) but I didn't wanna post it here b/c I didn't know whether or not it was true, I'd rather wait till I catch the episode and confirm it.

I really don't like how Omar was killed and I really hate how they put it in the beginning of the espisode like it wasn't important. However I feel that Omar was giving up, he was hurt and he was tired of looking for Marlo who was no where to be found. Also I think he was getting to old for what he was doing. I think a young Omar would of check or thought something of Kenard walking in.
wait til ya'll see pt.9, though i know some dude happy his life revolves around TV will come in here and ruin it as usual...... i didn't mind Omar gettin merked early in the episode, it just showed that the season is deeper than the Stanfield Crew vs. Omar conflict......

Snoop gets merked by Mike only after Mike implies that he was out to get murdered, after the Stanfield crew got city-wide raided, they figured since Mike was like a top-ranked dude who was down the shortest time-frame, that he snitched out the operation...but then Snoop was also suspected as being a snitch, so it was kinda ironic to see both of em in that last scene and wondering who's gonna merk who..... but Mike proved to be the smarter of the two........
whatever important is gonna happen to whoever is remaining is up to the final episode to reveal........ oh yeah Naymond returns, but this time as a scholar/honor type student giving a speech.......Dookey, returns to his roots and his inner-junkie ultimately takes over his soul as Mike goes on the run, leaves Bug for his aunt to care for, and Dookey instead of opting for a normal life, he goes to Junkie Heaven, i do give him props for at least trying to volunteer his life to being Mikes sidekick before deciding to enter a world of crack-pipes, syringes, and newspaper comforters.....fuck it

What the hell are you talking about? Diddy was really good in "A Raisin In The Sun" and even the critics are liking him in it and they would like nothing more than to tear him to pieces.
Yeah Mike killed Snoop cause Marlo put a hit on him in jail cause he figured Mike was snitchin. Snoop was supposed to kill him but Mike got the drop on him. Dookie went to live with the Arabs, Kima tells Daniels on McNulty. Bugs went to live with Mikes aunt. Naimond comes back as Mike is about to kill Snoop, but he's in the city debate he has turned his life around and is still wit Bunny Colvin, Carcetti tries to smooth things over with Colvin but to no avail.. Kenard is on the run from killing Omar, but there are still rumors that are wrong they saying pimlico niggaz killed him.
Could someone please tell me why Omar didn't have the limp when he walked in to by his smokes? Notice he wasn't limping at all. That's all I'm going to say. Episode 10 is classic. It's not 90 minutes but it's damn near that. I'm not going to tell you what happens with Marlo cause I'm not that type of guy.

Mike Williams did an incredible job as Omar. That character did more to change the way people look at gays than anything else I can remember in history.
