The Salt N' Pepa Show Ep. 9: Ain't No Fun, If Salt Can't Have None (yeah, right)!

Sigh... remember what happened a few episodes ago when Spin got in the mix and sh*t got real twisted? Yeaaahh.... it happens AGAIN... but this time, she ain't the one left like a stick in the mud (you can guess who it is).
Still, any time they feature Dee-Dee on the series is a treat for me. Number one, I always thought she held her own as a female DJ, and 2)... if you notice... apparently, she's the only one that can make Sandy and Cheryl get along, albeit for a short period of time ('cuz they gang up against her!!)

So, Spin comes back in the picture because of her gig working the red carpet at the past VH1 Hip Hop Honors Awards, which Salt and Pep are attending. However, when they invite their lil' sis over for dinner, she tells them about an upcoming DJ gig she has in Atlantic City that she wanted them to accompany her to.
Well, by their expressions, you'd think she just tried to make Amy Winehouse go to rehab or something. "Noooo, nooo, noooo".
See, this the sh*t that got me mad the last time, and it got me a lil' upset now. I love, love, LOVE SNP, but sh*t, they STAAAAY playing Spin like a stepchild. They acted like her gig didn't even matter. Even though she was showboating a bit, could you blame her for the way she treated them on the red carpet at the Awards? "Nooo, nooo, noooo..."
I'm glad they saw the error of their ways and decided to go to AC though, although for different reasons: Salt wanted some ME time ("I'm gonna party hard, then read my book"-- HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA), and Pep wanted to talk about and (be about) sex, baby.

I guess the MAJOR event of this episode would have to be when the trio finally enters the hotel room. Spin's rented two rooms-- perceivably, one for herself, and the other for Cheryl and Sandy to share. You know that creates a major problem. Sheeit, it would for me too, 'cuz I don't know if I wanted to be kept up either by Salt reading aloud from the Book of Job by candelight or by Pep working out Mr. Jack Rabbit for the nth time 'cuz she ain't get no play in the club.
Eventually, Salt decides to leave Pep and Spin to it, because for OBVIOUS reasons, it would be best if they shared a room. However, you know deep down she's salty about it, because she brings it up again while they're getting their nails did. Hmmm. (yes, I said did on purpose).
They also proceed in hitting up the tables... and is it me, or does Pep gamble like she's shooting cee-lo on the corner? Damn, you can take the girl out the ghetto....
and yes, her gambling almost makes them miss Spin's gig. But they didn't, which I'm glad about because while Sandy's antics usually amuse me, that would've made me mad.
I really don't like the way they do this chick.
Was anyone surprised when Cheryl peaced out from the club early? No.
Was anyone surprised when Pep climbed into the cage and started go-go dancing? Naw.
Was anyone surprised when Sandy and Dee brought back bum a*s looking n*ggas to the suite that Pep SWORE were her dudes from Queens? Heeelll to the naaaaw!
But I didn't expect Cheryl to pack her sh*t and leave before they got back in the next morning. I thought that was a bit dramatic, but AC's no place for Mother Goose anyway.
At least Pep just shook it off upon finding the note: "let's go gamble."
Ahh well. NEXT WEEK, it's gonna take Iyanla Vanzant to help these women come face-to-face (AGAIN) with their underlying issues. Maybe they can solve them this time.

Salt is such a hypocrite. She wants to be all holy than thou, but keeps treating Spin like a baldheaded step child. If I were Spin, I would not associate with them anymore.
Do your thing Spin! They only came to Spin's show, because they felt it would look bad if they didn't. I would not want to keep Pepa from her hair appt or Salt from whatever.
I'm sorry this is another boring reality show to me. I watched last season ok. But its like what is the point of this reality show foreal. I dont see anything wrong with Salt's life style. But i have a big issue with Pepa she needs to sit down. She really gets on my nerves. I really cant watch this show anymore. Its boring!

Pep is no different than Mariah Carey or Janet Jackson, all those chicks that are inher age range, the only difference is she is not afraid tobe who she is. I do have a problem with they way they treat Spin though, but it's sometime like that when you are the baby.
