I am by no means a Jay-Z "sackryda", as y'all would call it, but I absolutely LOVE this joint. I listen to it everyday, and it's on my Top Jay-Z Cuts of All Time list. Whether you hate him or love him, the delivery and metaphors on this track are ridiculous-- not his BEST, but definitely noteworthy.
That being said, I was very happy to find out that this video had debuted.
Until I saw it.
Wow. That video is dark as hell. Jay does get a point for realizing that the naked chick video is getting old.
Did anyone catch Zoe Kravitz (Lenny's daughter) in the video?
From the gist of it (or from what I could make out of it), all of these girls were "getting their Lindsay Lohan on"... wondering around in the midst of some trance- like high... missing the D.
I don't hate the video, but I don't LOVE it. I think the video should've had a one-main-chick storyline, but did opposite of the song... in other words, made it seem like she was really addicted to some drug, but really feening for some guy. Maybe that's what they tried to do with this one. YOU CAN'T TELL BECAUSE IT WAS SO F*CKING DARK!!!
Is this gonna be the last season? Maybe I'll get a dope video for "Party Life"...sigh... I dunno, y'all...

I don't know if any other SOHH blogger posted this, but I couldn't avoid it. I've been co-signing Estelle since the beginning of '08; she's just that chick. I don't know what they said "let's remake 'Good Life' in black & white for her video" , but this track is hot. I do like the chemistry between Stelly and 'Ye and you know what? I'm actually able to hold down my vomit while listening to his pseudo-British accent. I guess that makes this a winner.

The crab in a bucket mentality continues! Instead of trying to understand the video, we quickly try to tear it down because it “may” resemble Kanye West’s or really any conceptual video out there. So, to all those that missed it, I may be wrong, but my interpretation is clear. As everyone should know the song has a double meaning. 1) A women being in love/addicted to a man and 2) A women being addicted to Heroine. So, the video starts you off with two characters. One who looks like a fien and the other who looks classy and rich. So, immediately you think the fien is out looking for drugs, and the classy broad is hurt over a man. But, it flips and the fien looking chick is in love with the dude and the classy chick is the dope head. I.e. showing you not to judge a book by its cover. There’s messages there, you just have to open your eyes!

the video was wack! it was dark because the devil is the prince of darkness, and the girls were giving themselves to him, listen to the words body , soul . wake up people the devil is real &he aint red with a pitch fork
I like the Jay-Z video, I like how rappers like him and kanye are trying to take the music in a different direction and turning street music into art, thats what hip hop is in its essence; art. Love to see young blacks get money.
