Gotti's Way Ep.5: "If I Die A Lonely Man, So Be It!"

Posted on November 13, 2007 1:30 PM

Well, good then, Irv. I hope you realize that if you keep going down this path, that's exactly where you're headed.

Tashera, don't be asking questions like that, girl. You know X be done whoop dat azz he hear you talkin' like that, girrrrrrrrll! (Ha ha, and then cry about it later.)

(Sorry, that was my lil' ghetto moment of the day. I'm done now.)

But damn, Deb, Irv... can we get it together? ::in my 702 voice:: Get it togeeeettthheeerrrrrrrr

So yes, my fam... we re-visit the "men/women f*cked-up ness". Did we learn anything this time around? Yeah. But I'll get into that a lil' later.

At the top of the ep, Irv The Perv states that success ruined his marriage to Deb. I don't think so, fatty. I think it was your unfaithful penis and your 'I don't give a fck' mentality that's to blame for that. But, for me to stress that EVERY single recap is annoying. ::sigh:: I will TRY not to.
The operative word here is TRY, mind you.

Anyway--

So, what did you guys think of the scene where Deb's dining with her girlfriends? Deb expresses to her friends that if she starts over, it won't be with another industry dude. I CAN'T BLAME YOU FOR THAT, MA! Industry dudes are TAINTED, and half of 'em are latent pillowbiters anyway. Go find love elsewhere, it'll do your body good.
What made me mad was when her girlfriend (Shanda or something similar to that) said something like its her fault that the marriage couldn’t work. How you know? Were u creepin with The Perv on the side, and he fed you sob stories while the two of y’all lay in bed, soaking in each other’s juices? Shut the f-ck up! It seems like she has the mentality of let the dog roam, and if the women does this, the man wouldn’t leave. I wish I could see the cornball n-gga that digs her out, then tosses her *ss aside.

*Lesson #1-- Let's sing, y'all: "Frieeennnnds, how many of us have theeeemm..."

I guess I got to talk about somethings that happen on the music side of things, too. Irv tries to exercise his gangsta when seeing a video on Youtube that is very bad in quality and involves Super Squirrel. I mean, how much bad quality could this video possibly have in concerns to the other Murder Inc videos? Their videos haven’t been super-spectacular in my opinion. Technology wise, it’s modern. But not anything on Diddy’s level (of pyrotechnics, I mean).

Let me stop. I guess I can understand why this dude’s tight over it. I'll give him that. Whatever. Moving on...

You know what? There's not even much to recap about this episode because Irv-Lo and Deb-Lo keep going over the same bull-ish. Irv does make a visit to his parent's house, whom he mentions have been together for 50+ years. God bless. In the words of Andre 3000, "thank God for Mom and Dad for sticking two together, 'cuz we don't know how." Damn straight. He asks Mama Lo for advice about he and Deb's situation, who in turn questions him about how long he think their "happiness" will last. Does a lightbulb go off? Naw, Irv just turns on his 'I don't give a f-ck' ness and ignores her.

Sometimes, I feel like in order to be able to reason, you just have to have ovaries. Old ovaries, I mean. Not young ovaries, because while I support Deb, at times she doesn't make any sense. She talks a good talk when she's with her BFFs and at times with Irv, too, but I just get this weird feeling from her that she's going to be right where she started when this season is over. Which is... right under Irv's fat thumb, exactly where he wants her.

Damn, I hope not. But only time will tell.
(Yeah I know, this episode was boring, too. Sue me.)

I'm going to leave you guys with this last, thought-provoking statement from the CEO of Murder Inc Records:

Irv: “Deb is saying, ‘why you only thinking with your d-ck and balls?’ and she’s partially right, 100% correct.

Sigh.... not a sports page, not a magazine, but a BOOK, N*GGA! A F*CKING BOOK, N*GGA!

NEXT WEEK: Irv will sacrifice his fam for the biz -- wow, really?-- and Deb contemplates serving him with those papers. Naww, it's too good to be true. But I guess we're just going to have to wait and see.

WHO LOVES YA, BABY?

  • I'm sorrry you are even recapping this asshole's show. Him and his braindead wife get on my damn nerves. Yeah its Deb's fault the marraige broke up. It's her fault because the should have never married that asshole in the first place. Not for love anyway. Let his ass go and try to find a job because it doesn't look like The Inc is coming back anytime soon.

  • First of all, you kinda snapped. 5 paragraphs on one episode? Chill out.

I don't even like Irv Gotti but I still watch this shit, and I can easily say that it's starting to get boring as hell. Why don't these two dumbass people get a divorce if they don't even love each other? Staying together for the kids? It's probably hurting them even more.

Or why doesn't Irv get his head out of his ass and realize

    A. Murder Inc. is slowly dying away completely except for Vanessa Carlton, so his ability to get bitches is going to slowly go away as well.

    B. A down ass chick like Deb is hard to find

  • I agree with the last statement. Somebody's going to come and snatch Deb up. She's still very beautiful, she's loyal, a great mother and even thought she's letting her heart think for her right now, she's smart and witty. Some Fortune 500 black dude is going to find her as*. Anyway, I don't dislike Irv for not being with Deb, but I do feel as if he needs to be straight up with her. He knows that she still loves him and he knows that he doesn't love her so move on. P.S DEB get some new homegirls that will tell you what you need to hear and not what you want to hear.

Are you out of your mind? Lloyd is keeping the Inc alive not Vanessa Carlton. Lloyd had the big song ("You") not Vanessa Carlton.
