Run's House Season 4.1: "I'm On the Honor Roll, Too!"

I swear this family is like the Hip-Hop Huxtables. Gotta love it, though!
So, what did y'all think of the premiere? Nothing much to recap, but it just set the tone of where the family is at the top of the season.
But before I get into that, let me ask y'all one question: At the time of filming, summertime had JUST started, soooo.... when did Diggy and Russy get darker?
Any of y'all on the boards have siblings? Well, if so, then you probably remember how it felt as a child when your sister or brother got a gift for some random achievement or a birthday and you wanted something to. Sometimes you'd get appeased, sometimes you didn't.... but you know what? Your pops wasn't Joey Simmons, so most likely, you weren't getting a new Benz in exchange for placement on the honor roll. Maybe some new gear, but not a car.
To sum it up-- our boy Jojo's graduating from high school, and Papa Joey and Mama Justine have gifted their eldest son with a new ride. However, a sibling rivarly erupts when Diggy announces his honor roll achievement and that he wants to be awarded for it. Y'all should've seen him showing off that little honor roll pin, he was sooo proud!
Russy also decides to jump on this bandwagon, which causes Jojo to remind them to stay in their lane.
But, Papa Joey brings up an important equation that the guys must remember:
4 Years of HIGH SCHOOL = A CAR
A Middle School Honor Roll= A Pat on The Head
But, at the end, Jojo does something nice and buys his brothers what looks like belt buckles in the shape of cars. If I were Dig and Rus, I would've pelted them at his bean head-- that's even more taunting! But I guess it's the thought that counts. Whatever.
I don't know what it is, but for some odd reason, I want to see Diggy and Russy team up and just beat the sh*t out of Jojo. Did y'all see the way he was taunting them in their home basketball court? I'm the youngest sibling in my fam, so I can relate to that-- sorry. It's ok, y'all. One day, Diggy or Russy will screw one of Jojo's girlfriends, and he won't find out 'til after she's pregnant.
Angela and Vanessa were on holiday in L.A. and decided they liked it that much that they wanted to give up their N.Y. apartment and move to LA-LA land. However, they counted their chickens waaay before they hatched, because as soon as Vanessa got the word that her gig on Guiding Light was extended, she acted like it hadn't eve occurred to her to leave N.Y.
Even worse, Papa has already put their apartment on the market. Meaning... errybody's gonna be in Jersey this season. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I just hope it picks up more than what they showed tonight.
Congrats to their family though-- they just got approved for their adoption!! God bless.
What did y'all think? I'm thinking... I'll give it two more eps, then make a final decision.

FYI-The belt buckles weren't cars, they were skulls and crossbones...you know, the rock star thing that the youngin's are into these days. I thought that it was a good season opener. JoJo's car was definitely dope for a HIGH SCHOOL graduation gift! Hell, what will he get for graduating college? A jet? lol Angie and Vanessa looked good as usual. Run and Justine were their usual selves...I can't wait to see more!
Vanessa is fucking peng, i'd break her back any day of the week.

Loved the show. Love the family. They are what I aspire to be. Good to see that Rev and his wife have maintained a good balance. They treat their children to expensive things (because they have the money to do it, anybody who calls the kids spoiled is just jealous) but they have managed to raise humble children who share with eachother. I loved it when Rev Run quoted Chris Rock and told Diggy that he wasn't getting a present for honor roll because "that's what you're suppossed to do". All parents need to take head. That's why these kids always got their hands out after they "do something good". Nothing should be done because a reward is expected. It should be done because it is the right thing to do.
i luv this show i am happy for jojo he all flyy and stuff i dont think the younger kids should have gotten anything they were being selfish i think they should have let jojo have his moment if i wouldve done something like that i wouldve got played major and my mom wouldnt have let me even get the buckles

I love this show. As staged as it is, I think Blacks need a new Huxtables. Better than the huxtables, I know these kids ain't perfect. I'ma watch til it get cancelled...
