Good morning fam!
Hope some of y’all are enjoying this day off from work and school. And for those of y’all who don’t have it off, well, at least you got something to read today while you’re chained to your cubicle, pretending to do work.
So, I decided to check out the new T.I. video mostly because I wanted to see if the song is worth downloading. I do not own the album because I couldn’t bring myself to spend money on T.I. vs. T.I.P. after I saw that interview on BET. Furthermore, until someone wises up & starts the Clifford “Tip” Harris Schizophrenia Fund, I will continue not to do so.
But I did download “Big Sh*t Poppin’” and the joint with Wyclef (ONLY BECAUSE THEY SOUND HOT BLASTING THEM ON THE STEREO WHILE RIDING UP THE WEST SIDE HIGHWAY) so I was like, maybe I can add this to the mp3 player as well.
I was reading comments on another board, and someone described this song as “Gangstalicious” ... and I agree. I think it’s the perfect definition for a song done by someone who OBVIOUSLY has a Napoleon complex...
What I’ve learned from watching the video is that steroids and cocaine DON’T do a body good.
A minute and a half into the video, I start thinking, “with the black and whiteness, the chains, the bats, doesn’t this bring to mind an old DMX joint?” However, I don’t think there are lines of coke waiting to be snorted in between takes, and I highly doubt that T.I. and the crew are going to go hijack a limousine from an airport like X did... then again, Busta’s on the set, and Lord knows he’s hellbent on a mission to ruin his career (don’t worry, it’s working, Bus!!). All I’m saying is that coke makes testosterone levels shoot through the roof, and this video is very “Get At Me Dog”-esque. Coincidence? I think not.
Another thing, why is T.I. rapping about how he’s “finna’ hurt” somebody? Wouldn’t you have to stand on a chair or something to do that? I’m saying... I’m 5'2", and I think I might be taller than him. I’m curious... who do y’all think weighs more, Pharrell Williams or T.I.? F*ck that question...since he’s on this schizo kick, who do y’all think is heavier, T.I. or T.I.P.?
Aight, back to the video. This dude Alfamega reminds me of Tiny Lister (Deebo) without the green eyes. He looks like he lifts weights with his face! There is no reason for someone's cheeks to be that braulic... unless they're on the Marion Jones get-bulk-quick regimen, but I'm just saying. (Seriously, who DIDN'T know that?)
Lastly, it looks like some of the dancers/extras were able to get a hold of some of that china white being passed around as well. ‘Cuz I’m saying, WHAT THE HELL KIND OF DANCE WAS THAT TOWARDS THE END? [see 3:59 and 4:01 of the video]. Looks like a “I’m-so-hyped-I-just-did-an-eightball” kind of dance, doesn’t it? The dancers are so high they are about to take flight! If you don’t think so, watch the clip again: they’re doing airplane wings with their arms.
Not meaning to flip the script, but speaking of gangstalicious... check out this video of 50 Cent’s “So Serious” off of the upcoming Sabrina’s Baby Boy mixtape. Y’all might think this is funny, but 50's British accent makes my ears itch.

Tip is the best Artist down south right now and certainly the only one down south who is still able to do big numbers in this current hiphop climate and by the way get off of 50's sack. TI video is hard body....him Busta and that other Big Dude all killed those verses this is one of the best tracks on that sub-par album of his.

This was my favorite song on the CD - it took me back to Trap Muzik and I'm Serious. TIP did his thing,Alfa laid down his verse and Bus came on the end and murdered it! My fav track and video so far! The other two are okay but this is the TIP that we knew in the durty before he blew up so I like him.
