Monday Mayhem: Guru and Slum Village Get "Jazzy," A 6 Year-Old Raps + MTB4 Spoofs...

Posted on October 29, 2007 9:00 AM

Wake up, G-ddamnit!!

Hope everybody got some big things poppin’ and all that goodness this past weekend. I definitely did, but I won’t get into that because I know y’all maw’fuggas don’t care. Well, for today, I’m going to let you guys know from JUMP that Monday, October 29, will be a Breezy's Off Her Rag Day. That’s only because y’all swear I can’t write a post without sh*ttin’ on somebody, and that’s not true. I sh*t where sh*t is due, and those of y’all who keep it 100 should know that (oh, and by the way, PLEASE stop with the “you’re on 50's payroll” comments... that’s just WACK). But today, every person responsible for each of these videos deserves their shine, so I’m definitely giving props all around.

So, to start off things here, I’m throw this new joint from Guru featuring Slum Village on here. It’s called “I’m Jazzy,” off of the Jazzmatazz Vol. 4 joint. I didn’t put this up here to critique the video, I posted it because this track is tight. But don’t listen to me– peep it for yourself.

Yo.... B.G. is hot! NOOO, silly rabbits, not junkie B.G. Some of y’all might’ve seen this video before, but when I first peeped this I thought that it was too cute. This lil’ homie goes by the name of Bentley Green and he basically raps over Tupac’s “Dear Mama” beat, speaking about how his own single mother sacrificed to make sure he was taken care of. QUOTE: “This for all the single mothers, keep ya head up, and you can make it to the top!” Aww... six years old. Gotta love it. God bless you AND your Mama!

Now the last video I got to share with y’all is a pleasure for me to put up here. I know y’all know who Affion Crockett is (the dude on Wild N’ Out that’s funnier than Nick Cannon). Well, he and his brother John O. (who’s also an actor AND a rapper) have a company called Uncomf’table Films, and their spoofs get crazy hits on Youtube. I actually got the opportunity to sit down with that fine @$$ John O. (that's right, I SAID IT!) and talk about some of the spoofs that they’ve done (which will DEFINITELY be airing at a later date, and in installments, since the interview was a long one). I know a lot of you have probably seen their Juelz Santana/Lil’ Wayne “Black Republican” diss spoof [see below]

QUOTE: “On Saturday mornings, I watch cartoons!/I repeat, I watch cartoons!” By the way, Affion’s doing Lil’ Wayne, John O.’s doing Juelz.

However, what will make you pi$$ on yourself are the installments they did mocking Making The Band 4 (my personal favorite). Check out Aff’s character Big Time and John O parodying Michael Bivins– that accent is crazy! “This could happen at any time! Ya'll gettin' cut!”

Don’t worry, when I air the audio for the interview I WILL post the rest of their parodies!

Aight I’m out for now, y’all. Let me know what y’all think of all these videos I’ve bombarded you with, and be sure to check Salt N’ Pepa tonight at 10 p.m.
