GOOD MOOOOOOORNING, FAM! Hope everybody's weekend was tight. I spent my Saturday afternoon wandering around Soho/Noho, in search of an authentic Rolling Stones' "40 Licks" tee-shirt, to no avail. TO ALL Y'ALL THAT LIVE IN THE 718/212 AREA: Do you know where I can find one of those concert tees? I want a real one, though, not just a black tee with the tongue.

Anyway, on to the videos!

I HATE to perpetuate the Kanye/50 Cent STUPIDITY, but I came across this video. Is it me, or do you notice that Kanye's trying to play it cool in the U.S., but when he goes overseas, that's when the 'Ye cockiness we've come accustomed to REALLY comes out? I say this because when I went to the VMA event at MTV, he was like, "I ain't tryna get into no debate with 50, blah blah blah..." but the statements made on THIS show fall far from that. Judge for yourselves.

You know there's more, right?

Kanye was ALSO a guest on BBC Radio (that's right, 'Ye, RACK UP THOSE OVERSEAS FANS, N*GGA!), where he premiered a snippet of two new songs, "Big Brother" (a dedication to Jay-Z) and "Champion." "Champion" is cool, but I'm REALLY feelin' the I HEART JAY-Z track.

I don't know 'bout y'all but in terms of September 11th, I will be thinking about.... the millions of people that lost their lives on that day, how about that? BUT I CAN'T FRONT, I've already gotten my "Team Kanye" tee-shirt specially designed.

Reports circulated this week about Amy Winehouse's entry into rehab, due to her coke and heroin addiction. I really hope she gets well, of course for her own well-being and state of mind, but so that she can also rock out at her scheduled September concerts (including an appearance at Central Park's concert stage which yours truly will be attending). Honestly, who's NOT feeling this chick? She may not have a Mariah/Beyonce-esque voice, but hers comes from a place that can only stem from raw emotion and real pain. That's why I'm throwing up her latest video, "Tears Dry On My Own", whether you seen it or not. Now, here's the use of a sample that works.
