Making The Band 4.6 -- After The Love Is Gone...

I'm not going to spend too much time talking about the chain of events in this episode, because I know everybody wants to discuss the Laurie Ann/Diddy scenario. But, in order to do that, I have to set the scene as to explain WHY WHAT HAPPENED IN THE FIRST PLACE.
Basically, the cuts going down were SUPPOSED to be based strictly on dancing. So Mike Biv takes our guys to play basketball in some NYC projects (I didn't catch the name but all I KNOW is it wasn't the one I grew up in) because, if these guys can't hold it down on the courts, "there's no way they're gonna be able to kick it with Puff on stage." Of course not? Could YOU keep up with an ADHD-stricken speed addict, Mike? I don't think so.
But let's look at the even bigger picture here: wasn't it winter, like, 2 episodes ago? When did spring suddenly set in? DAMN EDITORS!
So, turns out our guys ain't sh*t on the courts. I didn't really pay attention to the boxing matches, but I did notice Qwanell go extra hard at his sparring partner (whose name has currently slipped my mind). Apparently, the two had an agreement to "fake it", but in the end, Qwanell decides to defend his bed. That Qwanell sure knows what he wants. Did you catch him gushing about Laurie? He just wishes he was a lil' bit older so that cat can get his tongue. Don't worry playa; Laurie Ann's breed of feline might be a cougar. You NEVER know!!
In with every episode, you know they have to have the requisite "sing for massa" segment. As far as these performances go... don't you wish Puff would pick new songs for them to sing?
And now, we encounter this week's FAMOUS NOT-SO-LAST WORDS: Diddy gets at Andrae's version of "End of the Road", asking, "what was that, the remix?"
Come on, let's say it together, y'all: DIDDY, YOU GOT SOME MUTHAF*CKIN NERVE! As many GOOD songs as YOU've pulverized...
Ahh, do you hear that? Trouble's brewing. Apparently, Laurie wants to give her boy some encouragement. Diddy don't like it.
Diddy: (to Laurie) Yo, don't make comments, yo, it wasn't that hot, I'ma edit you out.
Laurie: You can't edit me out, 'cuz then there'd be no show!
WHOA.
So, its time for the rehearsal before the cuts. It seems as if its going in true Star Kitty fashion-- that is, if Star Kitty was on her monthly AND she skipped her morning Meow Mix. She goes into overdrive, causing Jonathan to up and leave the show. Umm, who? Yeah. But the method to her madness proves not to sit well with the Daddy; when he finds out that they only had a few hours to rehearse, he fires her on the spot. Kitty goes into a rage.
Now, was it just me, or did when Laurie made her exit, did Beyonce's "Kitty Kat" run through your mind?
Here's my take on the whole thing: Okay, editing plays a HUGE part here, so we don't get the entire story. We didn't see no chairs, and we saw Mike Biv begging and pleading like he was... well, Johnny Gill. So I'm not gonna say much EXCEPT THIS: For a minute, A QUICK MINUTE, I agreed with Diddy. It wasn't fair what Laurie did, and she needed to be reigned back in. Not that making people walk 5 boroughs in the freezing cold is fair, either, but you know.
Then he ruined it for me.
HE CUT DAN.
WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?! Dan was a contender, and he danced way better than Donnie's pouting @$$! Sh*t, I don't even know if I wanna watch the show anymore after that. But, of course, I have to, so I will. Others that faced the guillotine: Curtiss, Andrae, Eric, and Armando (once again, WHO?)
NEXT WEEK'S EPISODE: The next cut is the deepest for Diddy. ::shock:: Could it be Big Mike's farewell?

They had to cut Dan. He was a fat white dude who has a weird shaped face. He was losing weight but not in his face and Diddy is trying to sell records to "soul" fans not N Sync type fans. He knew it wouldn't work. Donnie has a chance because he looks like a white dude who could have been raised in a black neighborhood.
Other than that I really don't care. They'll put out 1 album then they'll all disappear. I think some of the dudes he cut though he wants to bring back as solor artists. I believe he's going to do that with Eric?

This is the deal from what I've read. Laurie's contract is with MTV - not Diddy. So she ain't got to kiss ass like everyone else. If you heard last night when Diddy said he wanted the guys to practice over the weekend a voice in the back ground (a producer I would assume) said "we couldn't book her until this week". And Diddy replied "I told ya'll if she is not available to get someone else." That really pissed Diddy off that she wasn't on his time! From my understanding she still is gonna get her money from MTV and she is filing a law suit against Biv and Diddy.
That was the first and last episode for me! The show is much better with hot ladies instead of a bunch of softer than a twinkie filling metro sexuals!

It was interesting to watch the conflict between Lori Ann and Diddy-however Diddy was right in being annoyed with the lack of practice, respect and communication-perhaps if she would have told him beforehand it would have been an easier pill for him to swallow.

The whole argument was childish. I like the show bcause diddy makes it funny. He got those dudes doing everything for ratings. This is the stuff that people would like to see DRAMA. The editing is starting to get on my nerves. The thing I love the most about this season is the singing abilities of the men. Lately they have only been showing partial performances and a whole bunch of stupid drama. Last night we didn't even get to see the fellas dance so we had no idea what Puffy was talking about, nor did we get to see most of the guys sing.
Qwanell is too cute. His adoration of of Laurie Ann was adorable even if it proves he is a blossoming deviant.
I always felt Jonathan was sweet and last night he was rightfully smoked out. Dude too busy on his mama's tit to be in the group. I'm glad Laurie Ann broke him.
Laurie Ann has been getting on my nerves all season. She is always giving away her feelings to the fellas when they perform. No one else was doing it so she looked extra stupid. Then when the producer mentioned that she was only available one day for rehearsals she lost me completely. Who does she think she is? I'm glad she is gone and I think they should get a male choreographer to replace her. Darrin Henson or Shane Sparks would be cool.
Andrae was the only new guy's voice that I was crazy about, but it was clear that he was not committed enough so I ain't mad at him and 5 of the other 6 new guys getting cut. I like Eric, but agree with Puffy wholeheartedly that he doesn't belong in a group. I hope he gets a shot.
As for the old guys Dan and Armando don't have the look. Point blank period. Armando should have gone bald because his receding hairline ages him and Diddy wasn't having that. You can look forward to all the guys that don't have the look being eliminated eventually. Carlos' looks are keeping him in the game and at this point I feel he is the weakest singer left in the house.
I have no idea who Puff will go with but here are my picks for who has a chance of making the group in order from best to worst:

Well, I think that Diddy did do the right thing. Laurian did try to make the show as if it was hers. If you all noticed she said that, that was their(the guys') test to only give them a few hours to practice a hard choreography. Diddy did not know nothing about this test. It's his show, his band! He should have known. When they go bad the band(and us viewers at home) aren't going to blame Larian we're going to blame Diddy so she showed stay in her place!
In my opinion Diddy did the correst thing. It was not Laurian's place to give the guys a few hours to rehearse a hard choreography that is not only going to be performed infront of Diddy, but is going to determine if they get to stay in the game! If Laurian wanted to test these guys she should have at least let Diddy know her plans. It's his show his band! If and when they go bad Laurian will not have anything to do with it. Diddy would be to balme!
did anyone else hear Lori Anne say the show was corny? I laughed until I cried on that one...I think she forgot how that "corny" show got her one of those "how to dance" video deals. I bet she aint think it was corny then.

I do applaude Diddy for staying cool though before Laurie decides she wants to be a "Hot Ghetto Mess".

I think that laurie ann was bein' really "xtra" on the show. She wasnt being that obnoxious on the last making the band. She knew one of them girls would have beat the spit outta her mouth. But since making the band 4 was for the fellas, she went overboard cus she knew she wouldnt get smacked!! If you ask me, I think that she is tryin to get her own show.
