SOHH Videos: The Young Hov Project - "Lucifer"

[Really] Young Hov in the place to be?
This week's incestuous SOHH.com video pick comes from The Young Hov Project. Featuring a 13-year old aspiring actor by the name of Samgoma Edwards and directed by his older brother Samtubia, "The Project" provides Jigga fans a peculiar service. Invoking the swagger, nuances and oversized lips of Shawn Carter, they make the videos you wish Jay had made himself. Today's selection is "Lucifer" [watch it now] son of the morning...
After viewing the "Lucifer" video for the first time, my man H.D. (whose SOHH video we will be looking into next week) didn't hesitate to ask my thoughts on the selection. My immediate response to which was "The kid actually plays the role eerily well. He nails the 'swagger' and a lot of the facial quirks. More importantly the kid is blessed, or should I say cursed, with the look."
Looking like Jay-Z is only helpful for re-enacting Jay-Z videos. This will more than likely be both a gift and a curse (pun intended) for lil' nigga's acting career. He's gonna be JiggaBoy for the rest of his natural African life.
Dare I take it one step further. I do believe Mr. Carter owes Lafawnduh some back child support. I wanna see the happy trio on Maury one of these slow, lazy mornings as I push your girlfriend out of my bed to watch TV undisturbed. They don't even need the DNA test. Jay-Z... You ARE the father! GUILTY! GUILTY! THAT NIGGER IS GUILTY! I GOT THE ROPE RIGHT CHEA!!!
As well-done as these "Lil' Penny Project" videos are, I have a couple of loving suggestions that the Edwards brothers can take with them.
1. You can't play Hova with a blazer from SYMS. If you're springing for cameras and shit, you gotta aggressively pursue a jacket that doesn't scream "Clearance Rack" or "Irregular" at the viewer. I know you can't get your hands on some purple-label, and no one expects you to. But damn, homie... Go to Men's Wearhouse or somethin.
2. The same shit goes for them $15 Fulton Street glasses.
3. Your sister is not Beyonce. Don't post her up next to you in the station wagon/Maybach. Just because your classmates ain't never met her doesn't mean they won't find out about this.
4. Just because Lil' Fame is fucked up-broke right now doesn't mean you have to exploit him by casting him as one of the jackers.
I figured out what this is all about. Jay, your son loves you and wants to meet you! "Meet the Parents," Jigga! Meet the Motherfuckin' Parents!
Ooooh! Do THAT video! I'll be well pleased. Do that video well and I will take you to Men's Wearhouse myself as a reward for your dilligence.
