Leading the seemingly endless line of shit I’m forced to do (like watching ComicView when I go over to my little brother’s place), I offer you modasuckas my thoughts on “The [self-proclaimed] African King of Comedy” Michael K. Blackson’s appearance on H.D.TV’s Negro Channel Hip-Hop Awards red carpet minstrel show coverage. [watch it now... please]

If you don’t know who this man is, you probably haven’t been to 125th Street where he and Akon provide the finest cotton footwear, skully caps and heartfelt misspelled renditions of your favorite urban brand names... sometimes all in one.

"Almost Famous" (mixtape in stores soon, y'all!) for his various appearances on ComicView and a cameo in “Next Friday” that I enjoy greatly, Michael Blackson… still doesn’t deserve to be stopped on a runway or written about at length on Talkin’ Videos. Oh, what a low we sink to.

Why in the world a nigga would assume, even in jest, the namesake of Michael Jackson is completely beyond me. My African readers, help an ignorant American nigga out. Are y’all TV programs like 15 years behind? Are y’all watchin new episodes of Fresh Prince of Bel-Air or some shit? I need an explanation of some kind for this dude.

Maybe he ain’t molestin children, but he definitely got some kids on him. (That one was for the readers who went to college and/or watch Animal Planet.) At first glance I was almost prompted to give him props for leaving the cheap-ass kinte cloth on the shelf, then I realized he supplemented his apparent fresh cutlass-induced hairline with 2 baby goats and some conflict-free gold. I can’t get jiggy with that pawn shop shit!

That’s right. No conflict. It was his turn to rock the family chain. Besides, he had to be somewhere, ya know?

In case you're wondering what the fuck is up with the short ass video... the clip is 60 seconds because he had to make sure he was inside before security got to askin questions and shit.

  • Ron Mexico i love your video reviews 'cause you always keep 100, besides the relevant comments you make it always got that sense of humor that cracks me up everytime i read it, but i'm not feeling this one, i don't even know who this dude is but that review shows some African antagonism right there and i don't appreciatre that, forgive me if i'm wrong but that's just my 2 cents.
