Naw, this ain’t some Chevy Chase shit. This ain’t even the Johnson Family Vacation. This is wayyyy bigger! This week on “Run’s House,” the Simmons family packs up its Game Boys, makeup kits and paternity tests for Las Vegas! Daddy’s on bidness, but the kids are the ones that gotta get to work… ultimately so Daddy can get down to bidness. *wink wink*
Even at age 7 or whatever the fuck Russy is, if someone told you the family was going all the way across the country for a week, wouldn’t you put some fuckin clothes in the bag? All Russell packed were his Game Boy, corresponding games… and his trusty Spongebob toothbrush shank he just got finished scraping down when he was given yard time.
Once they got there, Jojo thought he could just show the Def Jam black card and be a 16-year-old Phat Farm exec. I love how Big Russell shut it down. “Fuck that. Jojo can’t just come along and soak up game for free. He ain’t even old enough to be an intern. That nigga can get my coffee, though. Shit, he ain’t even your kid, Rev.”
That mentality is Run’s fault. It’s not like he did anything to curtail the boy’s crazy ass idea. Maybe because since after "Krush Groove," Run has been leeching his brother the same way. You get it from your punk-ass daddy, Jojo. Sorry to break it to ya.
I want to extend my congratulations to Diggy and Russy AKA the Legion of Coon for scaring all the white folks away from the pool with their WWF antics. (Oh my god, you’re so fucking sensitive! I don’t really believe those little boys are coons! I’m convinced their mama got a little Sambo in her, though… and their daddy is loving the slave master’s religion, but that’s something else entirely.)
Before Russy mentioned it, I was very impressed with P. Diggy’s walk. That little nigga most definitely gets his “Catto Matte” on.
While Jojo should do the preacher bit for his tribe… he hit the nail on the head. “What do you think we are? The Cosby Family?” The toughest part of this entire process has to be pretending not to be aware of what’s going on with the cameras and all that shit. The Cosby thing is probably a big inside joke.
I can’t be the only one who gets the feeling that when the cameras aren’t rolling Angela’s “Get the heck outta here” becomes “Get the fuck outta here.”
Jojo’s “I’m not a girl… Not yet a woman” speech was touching. However, Mr. “Notta Mann” is asking for some grown-ass man responsibility. Jojo’s spoiled ass is not quite getting the point. You can’t just walk up into the business because you’re kind of a Simmons. (Again... Paternity suit pending.)
You can’t sneak past Flavor Flav. I saw that nigga at Jimmy’s Uptown and he wouldn’t leave my table. That’s probably because Hoopz was sitting right there.
Jojo clowned Diggy with that Bobby Valentino shit. 2 points. Unfortunately, he would look more like Valentino with the same shit on… and when Diggy gets older he’s gonna have plenty of jokes for his older brother (who is well on his way to becoming Todd Bridges or some shit).

Okay, nevermind… Diggy got his ass. “You really wanna be Michael [Jackson]?” Even the waitstaff had to laugh.
With all the shit talked… I must say, for the third wedding project everyone did excellent. I am proud of Jojo in “full-blown Arsenio Hall from 'Coming to America'” as the Pastor. Vanessa and Angela need to pool their resources, start a business together and get up out of Daddy’s house… so they can fuck in peace. Diggy is probably gonna be the surprise pick of this litter with so many different examples to watch before he makes his own mistakes. Russy… let’s just hope Run gets him on those meds soon. He needs more than Jesus.
What better quote for the day than the episode’s finisher by Daddy Run himself?:
“Of course you’re tired. I done put the whammy on you… You know I’m Chief J. Runbone.”
