Last week Kanye and Lupe stopped by The David Letterman Show to perform "Touch the Sky".

Some thoughts while watching this:
1. Did Kanye ask the band to slow down the song because he hasn't mastered his breath control?
2. Is that a limited edition Louis Vuitton fanny pack on Kanye's hip?
3. Did Lupe borrow that tiny jacket from Kanye?
4. Was Kanye's tribal yell deleted from the orginal version of the song, or does he always end it that way when he performs live?

i recorded that performance..it was a hot one..i love how much the crowd got into it..you dontsee that much at Letterman crowds...and they were all gettin their hands up!
Nice debut for LUPE....David Letterman is a very loyal guy..so expect to see Lupe Fiasco on the show sometime soon.

It's funny how Ye' saved hip hop from being one long episode of "Oz". Before he came out, everybody was proud to be the thugest thug-- but he significantly help hip hop be fun again. (Not to mention saved Common's career, Twista, etc.) Now he does dress weird and act strange sometimes, but he's a musical genius.
That was a good performance. Why?
-Everyone on stage had a purpose for being on stage
-Performed with conviction like it could have been the last time he did that song
-He was entertaining. No standing around carrot scratching and sack holding.
I'm not asking for a MC Hammer performance, but I sure as hell ain't asking for a Mobb Deep show performance either
