Some of the criticism of 50 is fair and some is unfair. I generally don't like him becuase of Uncle Tom-like comments. I am with the brother who said if you can collect corporate dollars than do it.
However I see the term "Race-card" like the term "homophobia" and "anti-semitism". People just throw it out there because they are uncomfortable about talking about and dealing with tough social-political issue. All those terms are deflections and distractions purposely designed not to deal with real and relevant issues.

For the last 7 or 8 months, I haven't really done any blogging, no big deal, most people posting now have probably never read anything I wrote (if anyone needs a reminder: I got into a rather heated debate about MJ's acquittal with a certain blogger which resulted in me submitting a rather lengthy post in which I pointed out the similarities between the aforementioned blogger and C. Dolores Tucker. Not ringing any bells? I started the whole Top Ten list craze, and I was also a major contributor to last summer's Pretty Ricky fiasco, which I am sure you remember quite vividly, ay Ronnie-boy?) Anyway, that's enough about my previous exploits.
I have noticed upon my return to the SOHH blog scene one thing in particular which intrigues me to no end: when I left off from blogging late last summer, I had consistently and relentlessly condemned 50 Cent, G-Unit, and Murder Inc., as well as Young Jeezy, "Boyz N Da Hood", and every other "rapper" who capitalizes off of a falsified ganster-ish public image, and who ultimately does nothing but perpetuate and augment the problems faced by today's youth (I'll get to that later on in the sermon, btw now would be a good time to go get a drink or something, cuz this is going to be awhile.). Anyway, it interests me that, last summer, I was facing the Spanish Inquisition for speaking ill of 50, but now most everyone seems to agree with me that 50 is not so great after all, albeit, most of you are in concurrence with me for the wrong reasons. Yet even now, as many are scorning 50 Cent, the majority of those people now hold the same sort of ignorant reverie for another such false idol, having yet to learn that 90% of "rappers" in our day and age are essentially carbon-copies of the Ja Rules, the 50 Cents, and other such "rappers" who have literally sold their souls and their love of quality music to this devilish trend of materialism which has engulfed our once great culture with catastrophic effect. Now you may be wondering why I keep putting the word "rappers" in quotations, I do this simply because I believe that to refer to them as "artists" or especially "MC's" is a sacrilege and is an effective slap in the face to all the true MC's of Hip Hop, as well as everything those MC's have worked toward.
What Hip Hop is becoming is nothing short of repulsive. In truth, the majority of new "rappers" that receive praise as being perhaps the next great artist, are entirely undeserving of any success they are met with as they are merely plagiarizing the lyrics and formulas of the real MC's that preceded them. I have nothing but contempt for those who merely copy everyone else's ideas without a single original thought in their head. The standard album layout has become nought but a recipe that is followed almost religiously. This recipe generally includes: 3 or 4 club-bangers/radio-tunes which have little to no lyrical depth; 2 or 3 tracks about robbing, killing, hustling, dealing, etc.; 2 or 3 seemingly introspective tracks designed to stir up some sort of sympathy or understanding; 1 or 2 tracks for the ladies, which by no means can be considered love songs; a couple absolutely pointless skits; and maybe one track that displays any trace what-so-ever of some "lyrical prowess".
Originality is becoming almost non-existent in Hip Hop. Tell me this isn't true.

He some how also got Mase to leave his God (By the way Mase is Going to Burn in Hell for his hyprocrisy).
At the end of the day, people love hip hop and so do I. When people feel like the artist have sold hip hop out they respond and the let the artist know.
My beef with him is more personal than 50 selling hip hop out. To me he sold Black people out. But at the end of the day, he is my brother, so I will eventually forgive him for being an Uncle Tom...But just not today.

See, 50 understands that there is very little money to be made from the black community, if you have ever been in the ghetto then you know that the majority of people don't buy albums, they bootleg them, right? Bootlegs don't show on Sound Scan, nor do they make him money. He knows that if he gives the "suburban white kids" the black man they want to see, that he's got a much better chance of gaining their patronage. The two rappers have traded veiled disses in rhymes, but the feud reached it's peak when the two rappers crossed paths backstage at Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Award show, on April 1st.
According to Master P., accounts of their run in have been exaggerated.
"We have nothing against Bow Wow. His bodyguard used to work for me so I was hollerin’ at him. Romeo wanted to holla at Bow Wow, but he [Bow Wow] didn’t want to talk," Master P. told AllHipHop.com. Master P. offered to end the beef between the two rapper's with a Pay-Per-View boxing match, in which all proceeds would be donated to charity.

As ridiculous as this story is, my point is that I had a purpose in my dissent, it was something I strongly believed in.
Now, if you are going to "diss" someone, please, please, make sure that when you clown them your insults don't revolve squarely around a regimen of insulting their mother and calling them gay. At least use what they say against them, flip the script. What I'm seeing now, is purely disgusting.
