I’ve been wanting to talk about this video for a while now.
So, I took you all’s temperature last week and discovered that niggas get really touchy about Chamillionaire jokes… Good! One of the most cleverly-named rappers ever combines forces with the resurgent Krayzie Bone on “Ridin’.” [watch it now]
For as many jokes as I’m going to make about Chamill’s rock-starved appearance and wonderfully unpolished delivery, I’m going to offer praise for a song and video that are actually making a statement against racial profiling by police. (Fuck tha po-leese.)
So… where do I start? Hmmm… Since we’ve already established that Chamillionaire looks like a strung out 50 Cent, we might as well ask the million dollar question: Can any of you who have enlisted in the Chamillitary explain why he looks like an unwrapped mummy? Shit… if he cleaned himself up a bit and got a little sleep he’d look like Papoose.
Speaking of Chamillitary… what does a private in their infantry have to do? What’s Chamillitary boot camp like? Do the ladies have to package his crack buck naked in a supply room? Are the dudes riding around snatching down Paul Wall posters off of lampposts? I don’t get it. I haven’t heard of someone putting his or her own name in the title of their crew/fan club since Hulk Hogan. Even 50 wouldn’t do it… though I’m convinced his cronies would agree to it.
This video is a winner strictly on the strength of a Deebo/Zeus cameo. If I saw him coming, I wouldn’t believe he were police anymore than I’d believe that Shaq were. Deebo is a big motherfucker, too… so he’d have to get shot.
I am trying to completely understand the significance of the white couple in the car. Were they actually being used as a decoy, or were they merely a reflection of racism on the behalf of them laws’? If the latter, than 2 more points for the Chamillitary.
I count three Bone Thugs in the slab. I know one of the five is in prison. I heard the other one is cracked out of his mind. I guess nobody’s fucking with Bizzy. I mean, Chamill looks like a dope fiend, but he wants NO PART of Bizzy Bone in his video. That’s a damn shame... but a wise move.

I like Chamillionaire as an artist. I think his flow is a bit choppy, but he's steadily improving his craft.
He has a lot more to offer lyrically than a lot of his peers.
Some of his songs are pretty dope.
I thought he would blow up long before Paul Wall, based on what I heard from them years ago.
But yeah... when people see through the jokes, hopefully they understand that there's love there.
