As per reader request, we be burnin’, yo… and freezing… and waiting around in the rain like Ray J. Somehow I get the idea that Sean Paul didn’t go down on Lil’ Kim or Superhead, though. Today’s selection “Temperature” [watch it now] combines the dance steps we’ve come to know and love from Shauna Paul’s videos with an attempt at clever subliminal imagery within the context of the seasons changing.
Consensus: Some niggas need to stick to spittin hard and makin beef patties.
I watched this video with a Caucasoid friend of mine named Clyde who immediately informed me that he couldn’t understand a word of what he was ingesting, but he did note that Sean Paul’s braids had to be Hair Club implants. Upon further inspection I had to agree with him. Them shits really do look like he had a little professional help to make them stay. Sometimes you need a boost when you’re like 38 and shit. I think they might be Velcro-on.
Old Navy is finally expanding to Jamaica. This is the first commercial they plan to air right after Lemon Tree Lane (if you ain’t Jamaican don’t even try). Old Navy’s Performance Parkas are damn near useless back a yard, but Sean Paul is rocking them... so you need to get like $750,000 Jamaican together and get up on it! You know I gotta talk about this shit… The phallic imagery like the skeeting suntan lotion (which only Mista Paul needs) and the opening and closing umbrella are overshadowed by one dance move:
In the Autumn dance collection— They got this one routine where the lady dancers (let’s call them Snap, Crackle and Pop) are on the ground slithering as some metrosexuals come by and put their feet on their backs like they just caught a prize buck. As cool as the effect may be, I think this is no coincidence. This dance says “Tallulah! Get you bumba ras back in a di kitchen an’ mek Ackee far mi breddrin dem.” Of course after the meal Tallulah’s getting the dick sandwich with no chance of licky licky. (Because that’s unacceptable for a Jamaican man.)
Apparently the Weather Jam afterparty was held in the “Gone In 60 Seconds” garage. I wonder who came up with that idea. Let’s pop and grind until we all die of carbon monoxide poisoning!
