I'm the Ultimate Hustler! Donga donga donga dong! (Dammit, Sizza!)
With 5 contestants remaining it was every ho for him/herself this week on The Ultimate Hustler. This week's challenge was actually pertinent and true to the grassroots, street-level essence of hustling. The contestants were asked to turn 5 to 8, 8 to 20, 20 to 100, 100 to 1,000 and that to 100,000... in front of housing! No, they didn't selll rocks (but that would have been funny). Some of them should have though.
In case you didn't know, Dame "doesn't fuck with singles." Apparently they give him flashbacks of the rougher times... You know, when the fiends would offer cheeseburgers and blowjobs when they were short on the 2-for-5s. Oh, the things people will do for a blue-top.
When I first saw funk-box Dashawn's plan to sell "marketing services" to the downscale boutiques of Harlem I was like "Good luck, nigga! You offering shoe shines too?" I didn't think too many spots would take him up on his offer to pass out flyers for $25. If it were that easy, I think the dope fiends wouldn't be offering blowjobs uptown and Dame wouldn't feel so funny about seeing singles. I was wrong, and somehow he was able to turn what looked like a disaster into $850. Shit, what was I doing with my little Summer Youth job when I was a kid? I should have been in the shoe stores!
Ray's plan was all kinds of greasy. How can you sell people promo materials? That's just wrong. Uptown we know what the fuck promo shit looks like! We also know we're not supposed to give you $5 for it. While it's grimy and unethical, it's hustling and the dude who looks a little too old to be a crack baby was able to pull down over $900 on favors from friends and the general stupidity of New Yorkers.
Oh... Oh, Kira. Your plan to sell your classically trained homie's designer gear didn't work out so well, did it? You can't just run up into stores with no connect and no promise to buy and expect to get broke off. She looked like she was coming from the damn cleaners! What she should have done was take them blazers and shit to the $10 store where they belonged. Dame cracked on it, but I felt the idea of buying up all the umbrellas. That's scrappy. After she dropped off her clothes at T.J. Maxx, she was supposed to sell umbrellas on the corner. What she should have done was gotten some oranges and a knife too and run the Mexicans off the block.
Brian is quickly becoming my favorite hustler. Not because I think he's cool or anything, but because he has no respect for anyone else in the competition, and for good reason. They've all shit on him at least once. Brian's hustle wasn't anything special. EVERYONE tried to sell clothing. Brian just knew how to get it done. Instead of walking into spots with a duffle bag looking like you just chopped somebody up, he came in there with his little Farnsworth Bentley partner and talked turkey. Much of the turker appeared pre-arranged, but it was still an impressive display.
Also to Brian's credit, the man did something broke ass disgruntled rappers have been trying to do successfully for years. The man sold mixtapes to complete strangers. Like, they actually gave him MONEY. I've watched sad ass rappers unable to GIVE their shit away, and this corny ass dude was able to sling right on the spot. Hustle recognized. Mexico Mixtape coming soon, sold on the corner by Brian the Asian from UH! That's right, Brian! You can sell my mixtapes anytime!
Tischanda was clothing dealer #4. Isn't she supposed to be a fashion designer, I would have expected her to have a plan like Brian's. She looked like she has never done the shit before. You can't spend 2 hours waiting in some office when your challenge is 4 hours long. You'll end up like she did basically whoring in the park. Y'all saw her swishing the hips and batting her eyes. She had fellas buying ladies' shit. That's hustle, but it only got her $240 or so. That's not even a third of a shift at House of Cheeks. For shame!
At the Hypnotiq table, Dame wasted no time in breaking niggas down. Ray caught the business and was indicted on 2 counts of sheistiness. Dame even gave him a new nickname "Lyin' Ass Ray." I felt that shit.
Brian finally had his day to shit back. He can't use the "she can work for me" line again, though! If he says it one more time, I'm gonna beat his Fine Young Cannibal-lookin ass.
Needless to say, $10 Store Special Kira got the boot. Dame got a stack (hopefully without singles). Kira did what she does best, flap her gums and give excuses even through the closing credits.
This was a pretty good episode of Ultimate Hustler. It felt more like The Apprentice and less like Making Da Band this week. I hope the rest of the individual challenges follow the same mold.

Ray is more of a crook than a hustler, he had boy go first cuz he felt threatend, and he knew even if boy did good(which he did), he would have more $$$ to play with.(cant hate on him tho)

I think it was fun. Brian got his revenge and it was soooooo sweet. Dashawn is still hustler of the week, but he dosen't do anything that really impresses me. "Lying Ass Ray-Ray" more like "Ray Lie-Son" this dude has to be the worst hustler ever. Using his friends to get money? That is not a real friend at all. I can see if they were assisting but sell it to them and not go out there and doing the hustle is in my book, "NOT HUSTLING". You are supposed to be a team when it comes to your friends. Just because you got 15 minutes of fame thinking that you are bigger than your friends, homie youz a BITCH.
ONE your comments on business can be the quickest way to a business grave. Nobody wants to do business with a shady crook. If you are not honorable (espically in prison business) one of the two things can happen 1. You are not going to get any major money or do business with major players because they told everyone that you are a crook.
2. You will have a shank in your liver begging the CO to come to your aid.
So if you are going to do business, do it the right way, because there are no shortcuts in doing good business. Not all business is good business, remember that.

I don't think SIZZLA could ever be ruined. He is too talented and tenacious, and authentic. However, yes I am concerned about this business move, I personally don't feel it was a good business decision. I say this because the music that I'm already hearing from SIZZLA since this business venture is disappointing, and appalling.
