For Throwback Thursday we’re gonna rewind about 4 years ago to Petey Pablo’s debut single “Raise Up.” [watch it now] With Timbaland’s help, Mystikal’s immediate direct competitor hit us with one of my favorite joints… well… ever. Errrrbody was from North Carolina in 2001. Special shout out to the homie EOB on the request. I damn near forgot about this one.
I love this video because THIS is representing. I don’t think he missed anyone, even the cats locked up and the itty-bitty hick towns. The hood came out in full force and Petey proved that you don’t have to be low-budget to keep it ghetto. I’m sure Jive Records helped him out a little though.

i'm from D.C., but i was in North Carolina on vacation when Petey Pablo dropped this song, and they played it about 10 times an hour. i liked the song, though. plus, i like the fact that he did another version namin all the major cities and states. "D.C. AND MARYLAND! COME ON AND STAND UP!!!"
