Murder Inc. Varsity Team - "Down 4 U"

Closing out a wonderful Murder Inc week we conclude the Pep Rally with the Varsity team today in [touch]“Down 4 U.” [watch it now]
Irv Gotti and his merry band of Murderers that includes Ja Rule, Ashanti, Charli Baltimore and the long-since forgotten Vita (my favorite murderer) show us what being an Inc-ster in the current millennium is all about… Really soft songs about chicks!
Clarence Williams III and Eric Roberts do a little Abbott and Coonstello… interestingly enough, Julia Roberts’ brother is the one putting on the Sambo face. As Ja and Charli escape the polices, we go live to their yacht party… Here’s where the confusion begins.
If memory serves me correctly, Charli was Ja’s down ass chick. It seems at some point he’s all up on EVERY girl in the video. Ashanti and Vita see about 12-times as much love as CB. Not that I blame, Ja… But son, she did a bid for you in the last video! You gotta show her some respect!
Question of the Day: WTF is up with Vita’s hair? She looks like a project Shih-Tzu. Slap the stylist. Aside from that, I always thought Vita was by far the most attractive artist Murder Inc. had. While she couldn’t rap a lick, she had an intensity that even Ja failed to match after his first album. Oh, Vita… Where have you gone?
We’ve spoken quite enough about Sideburns, but in this video, you can definitely see Ashanti’s namesake in all of it’s face-forested glory. If you’re gonna get the goatee, you gotta get the Wilt Chamberlain ‘burns too, baby.
Charli Baltimore looks like she had A Long Kiss Goodnight, a funeral service, embalming and the whole nine. Did Cam'ron drain all the life out of her in '98? I couldn’t see her as a sex symbol. I feel like I’m watching something that just came out of a freezer.
We said Lloyd needed to keep his shirt on, Irv Gotti did not need to show us his Laffy Taffy. Nobody wanna see that, nigga! Marshmallow Man need to keep them puffs to himself. He’s lucky he got all that laundered money under his belt. That chick wouldn’t be on top of him in a project apartment.
We can thank Murder Inc. for the Bobby & Whitney resurgence. We know it wasn’t Whitney’s last album that brought them back. It was the abudance of crack antics that got the job done. The first in a long line was their ice-grilling in this video. You KNEW something was up. Later came one of my favoite videos EVER! And I know you’re gettin booooooored!
Speaking of which… PLEASE watch the Yahoo! performance of “Thug Lovin’” (also on the page I’ve linked you to. Ja Rule’s monologues look like something you’d find on Ebaum’s World.

as a consumer i never purchased a murder inc. album! i wonder if that makes me a HATER? any old ways i just wanted to say that i think a lot of east coast artists should make "their" music and not try to "crossover" most niggas have like 4 blazin joints on the album and the rest is "crossover" GA'BAGE.

I'm sick and tired of ppl who don't listen to an album all the way through calling artist r&b, ja had some gutter tracks on his album. He even impressed me as a metaphoric lyricist on a few. You cant deny talent!!! If that was the case wouldn't kanye be considered the uncle tom of hip hop??? The video Ideas I agree suck, but damn the track isn't all that bad. I'm sorry but some of the best music ever made was based on a blues foundation, the same way almost every track made today is based on a blues foundation. Think not??? Do some research.
