Who better to set it off than the Fresh Prince AKA Mr. Jada Pinkett? Will Smith takes us on a hi-tech labyrinth ride that is the party his shiny (take it how you wanna) presence ignites with his newest video "Party Starter." [watch it now] Welcome back to MY world, Will. You got off easy with the "Switch" review because I am devout fan. Slap on the wrist twice, shame on me!
Besides, errbody know I rock the party that rocks the body!
Instead of rocking a party from the ground up, like they did in the old days to which Will so longingly refers, Big Willie walks into a fantasy land in which the party is ignited and continually reinvented by everything BUT him.
The walls start moving and morphing as if the backgrounds are trying to get away from his corniness. Luckily for Will he is able to bring back the lady who walks away from him after she realized he wasn't Montell Jordan. Eureka! He found the magic turntable, which in turn, belongs to a DJ who is NOT Jazzy Jeff. For SHAME, Willard! (Yeah, his name ain't William like you think.)
Okay let me stop cuttin' on the man's layout. It's actually quite dope. What he fails to include though is that these aren't special effects. The nigga is so paid, he really got his room switchin like The Matrix. He can even afford actual neo-soul negroes to drop in and out as he raps and dances.
Ah, yes... the dancing!
I know Will Smith has more rhythm than his last couple of videos have indicated. I mean, even on the sitcom he danced better than this shit... and THAT took place in the early 90s when we did some dances we never talk about and swore we'd never do at a party again. You might have to go to a "Kill Whitey" party if you ever want to find the Roger Rabbit.
Looking like the frontman for a shitty MTV2 band, Will tackles an array of dances never done by black people. From country line-dancing to exhibiting a piss-poor attempt at Russian folk dancing, to a pisser-poorer (disclaimer: not a word) moshpit with white folks who not only aren't remotely punk but wouldn't even be accepted as grunge, Mr. Smith has introduced the world to a new kind of party. Welcome to the "Kill Darkie" party.
On a side note, props to white folks for making a dance out of something black people couldn't do without killing one another. The minute I catch an elbow in the chest at a show, someone's gettin' stomped. Shit... scuff my Pumas and see what happens to your ass. I might have to do 20 in the box.
Quite possibly most ironic of all, I haven't seen his album credits or anything, and I'd bet my left nut that these verses were written by Eminem. Even if I'm wrong, I'm still as good as Tupac.

2. Timbaland isnt even on the song, in fact he isnt even on Wills album.
3. Luda produced the original song, there isnt a remix as of yet.
