Looks like our favorite person to spread hermaphrodite rumors about has taken a page or two out of Whitney Houston’s book. Ciara and Carmelo Anthony star in the 2005 edition of “The Bodyguard.” Ceecee’s new video “And I” [watch it now] is enough to make Kevin Costner turn over in his grave. He IS dead, right?
Gotta love the imagery of the black stallion by Ciara’s side at all times. It’s not like she lives in the fucking forest. She ain’t the black She-Ra. What she got a black stallion for in the middle of the damn night? Is she about to do a bestiality flick? Is she about to get on some NEXT shit and do a hermaphrodite bestiality flick? (I promise that’s the only hermaphrodite joke I’m making today.)
Once again devoid of dance moves of any kind, Ciara relies on cheese and cameo crackers to fill up her audience. Carmelo smiling like Ray Charles the whole damn video. I swear, nigga look like he got about 45 teeth.
I love the line of fans waiting for Ciara to sign shit. The girls are understandable, but that dude… THAT cat cracked me up. He tried to rush the security a la Redman and caught the Power Stripe. He only runs like that for 2 things in life, his Ceecee and his Fruity Pebbles.
Culminating the cheesiest work relationship-turned-love story since the original Bodyguard, our hero (who looks like Morris Chestnut’s light-skinned cousin) saves Ciara from both physical and psychological harm. Whatta man!
Catching Carmelo the Cheshire Cat red-handed in Ciara’s trailer with some floozy, he keeps our helpless princess away from seeing the situation. Awww, how noble! He should have walked Ciara in there and been like “you want me to break his legs for you, bawss?” But yeah… I guess he did the right thing. Actually, this little ass bodyguard probably couldn’t even beat Carmelo’s ass. I take back all that noble shit. He SCURRED!
He then saves Ciara from the old falling stage-light gag. What is this, Looney Tunes? Damn, at least push her out of the way of a piano tied to a rope or some shit. Anyway, Chestnut finally earns the ass he’s been chasing for like a year as a result of his keen ability to sense on-set accidents.
Wasn’t the light supposed to be ON Ciara? Of all the places in the forest to stand, why the fuck is she DIRECTLY UNDER the light?
What have we learned today, children? We’ve learned that Carmelo will jump in on anyone’s music video or street DVD; Ciara is obviously a naïve, helpless, innocent fawn who needs a black stallion to protect her; Morris Chestnut has a cousin in acting; Whitney Houston is probably at home pissed; and this video is pretty boring, but was the #1 request over the weekend.
This shit reminds me of the last Britney Spears video. Ciara’s list of influences must be pretty extensive. There’s Whitney, Britney, her boyfriend Missy, Gregory Hines, Hammer and black horses. You can see it all right here!

First of all, I love you bobbayyyyyy. No one mentioned how well Ciara sings in OTHER peoples videos, but not hers. In this video she sounds like garbage. In Missy's and Bow's, she actually harmonized with the person really singing the song.(Notice how she sings the chorus of "like you" w/ Bow.
