I woke up fresh enough to start this week feeling like royalty. With that said, why not share a video that best expresses how I feel on such a lovely day? The P.$.C. and Lil' Scrappy team up for the anthem of the new Southern oligarchy "I'm A King." [watch it now] Now, I'm fresh... dressed... like Terrence Howard!
Keeping with the themes of the movie from whose soundtrack the song is featured ("Hustle and Flow" if you're slow), Tippy and Scrappy (who now I believe should be a group) post up on the block like true kings. Christmas comes in July as we find the tandem snowed-out and grinding all the way... Ho! Ho! Ho
Before I continue, let me ask y'all something. When did Scrappy get nice? This is easily the best verse I’ve heard from him.
What muppet creature does Scrappy look like? He has one of the funniest faces I've seen in a long time. When he's grilling, he looks like he should be on a sitcom of some kind. He's like the crunk Urkel or something. He's got a wild goofiness about him. I can't quite put my finger on it.
I don't really need to crack on Tip. We've all seen him "dance" in the "I'm Serious" video. That's enough for a while.
I tell you what. These hoes are nothing like the real hoes that bop around the track in real life. Videos hoes are a different animal altogether. However, it wuld have been hilarious to hear one of them say “Hey Scrappy! We HAWNGRY!”
Does anyone else see the irony of T.I. rapping over flashes of Ludacris acting?
Final Thought: T.I. uses words like “provisions” in his rhymes. This tells me he’s on the intelligent side of things. Did he miss the redundancy in a crew called Pimp $quad Click [clique]? (Don't forget the dollar sign! Or else you're just a hater... motivating him.) You've probably seen this video before, but fuck it. Watch it again. It's T.I. for fuck's sake! I think the goofiness attached to Scrappy's look is the over abundance of teeth in his mouth. Not to mention, he is spitting some pretty good lines on this joint.
T.I. is doing his usual "too cool for his own good". Nothing out of the ordinary.
