We’re not having luck with the Troys here on "Talkin’ Videos," are we? Both Cowboy and Clergy fail to deliver in their latest attempts. Pastor Troy’s new video “Just To Fight” [watch it now] had me all kinds of gassed up. Here I am waiting for some “Vica Versa” shit, and I get THIS. Wait a minute… I’m so silly. I was watching UnCut. What was I thinking? Maybe I was on whatever Pastor was on when he named his shit "Vica Versa." (It's fucked up on a few levels)
This one’s tearing up UnCut, but that’s only by default. On a program for which The Negro Channel appears to give airtime to any dude with a camcorder, Pastor Troy currently excels against videos that are over 2 years old. You would think people all over the world (including CHG, The Unfadeable Negro) would be sending in submissions for international exposure, but nooooooo, Pastor’s new release is sandwiched between “Slap It, Clap It” and “What That Thang Smell Like.” For SHAME!

Someone please school me on Pastor Troy. Please! I grew up in the south. Houston, Tx to be exact. Before I was into the mainstream rap scene I was into the independant scene. I pretty much, had no choice. However, I always heards shot outs or references to Pastor Troy. However, I never heard ANY of his work. Then one day around the turn of the century I am watching TV. I see a crack party on the top of a building, I see dudes jumping off of buildings with parachutes, a lot of yelling, random chaos, and I am confused. A flying video hoe, a flying DJ, and much random chaos I see that this is a Pastor Troy video. My friend tells me, "Aww n*gga! You don't know? This n*gga here put the South on that map!"
REALLY?!?! That day I was ashamed to be from the south. So, I hoped that watching the "Just to Fight" video would prove me wrong! However, my heart goes out to Pastor Troy. Like the late great Rick James says, "Cocaine is a crazy drug."
Put the south on the map? Well that's ri-cock-ulous, but he did a lot of good shit in the 90s. He tried to bring it back with "vica versa," but that was the last good shit I've heard from him.

I just think it's highly unfair to assume that if someone doesn't agree, or has a different opinion (i.e.: not liking the same song/video) that they are from a different place.
Like I said before... I like Pastor... I don't think this song or video are quality. Like AZ and most people we discuss here, he can do better. I've seen it.

This shit is wack! That had to be the calmest crunk/fighting/wildin' out video I have ever seen. I thought he was going to be on some Warriors shit with the bats and chains being pulled from the toilet, but as Charlie Murphy stated "....wrong...wrong..." Nobody went to the club to fight, they went to sucker punch people and talk shit. It looked as though they were more crunk in the front seat of his vehicle than the club. If you gonna show images of bats,chains, and (of all things) brass knuckles make the images go medevil on that ass as well.
