Ying Yang Twins - "Wait (The Whisper Song)"

From the legendary duo that brought us such hip-hop classics as "Whistle While You Twurk" and "I Yi Yi" comes another record sure to change the trajectory of the genre, "Wait (The Whisper Song)." [watch it now]

Why do we call them the Ying Yang Twins anyway? These niggas look nothing alike. One looks like a midget Negro billy-goat. The other looks like he has a mild tinge of Down's Syndrome. Either way, watching this newest video from the Skeet-Skeet Brothers gave me a strange feeling. Not just because the song is anything but what you may have come to expect from Ying Yang, but because these dudes are really acting like they aren't crackheads. I call this the Flavor-Flav complex. Crackheads all over the world suffer from this terrible syndrome. Every now and then a fiend on your block will wash his face and throw on a $40 suit from the African store, hoping you won't be able to tell that he sucks back ungodly amounts of crills.
Seriously though, all crack aside... While it's not saying much, this is probably the best Ying Yang Twins song. It's definitely a curveball. This relatively mellow, jazzy, Neptune-ish track allows The Brothers Yang to do something we've never heard them do before... whisper! Unfortunately, no one wants to be whispered to by these niggas! All I can think about when I watch these cats whisper into the ears of these poor video hoes is the gut-wrenching stench of ham hocks and crack rocks. But, I'm sure the halitosis is made all the better by their incessant lures of "Wait 'til you see my dick / I'mma beat that pussy up." Of course, they use the latter line as their bridge and repeat it about 24 times between verses.
One thing I do love about this video is that they use an overhead shot that gradually reveals both Ying Yangs lying down on a studio floor surrounded by what looks like hundreds of half-nekkid womenses. I immediately decided that this video should have been named "Two Dope Fiends in a Sea of Hookers."
In over 5 years of being beat in the face by their records at parties, I still haven't found anything remotely philosophical or Chinese about these dudes. (Though one of these niggas does have kinda chinky eyes. Maybe he Blackanese.) So until I see Yao Ming in one of their videos, they are officially the Sherm-Rock Twins.
If you can tolerate the Ying Yang Twins and/or find their coke shenanigans entertaining, you should definitely give this video a spin.

All bullshit a side I like the Ying Yang twins. One they funny ass hell in a stupid way, and like it or not their music getz the club jumpin. I heard this whisper song in December 04 at a club in Mississippi and the women were loving it. I expect their album to blow up this summer. I guess you have to be kuntry folk to get down with them Ying Yang boyz and that southern tidal wave that is flooding the Hip Hop nation.

Good color scheme for the video. But I can't see either of these dudes trying to be smooth in the club. They actually look civilized. Usually they look and act like some crunk gremlins. The first time I heard this uncut was not in a club, so I felt dirty afterwards. Even more so when my girl whispered that shit in my ear to portray the foulness that she felt the song represented. My ears felt molested. This from woman who loses her mind when any Luke comes on. But this song proves you can say anything over a tight beat and girls (not women) will eat it up and embrace it.

Queen, let Pretty Ricky go. There are other videos. People have lives & jobs and have moved on, why don't you get both and do the same.
