I'm The Student Body Secretary, But I Want To Be President

2_619e38ffdcd4f9b7b2477db19ea379da.jpgAs ASB secretary of my school, I take the lead by setting an example to the student body. I have taken various leadership roles as sophomore class president, leader for several retreats, youth group core team leader at my parish, and school ambassador.

Recently, I have planned a beach clean-up at Santa Monica, California with two other schools. This was the first time it had been done with two girls' schools and one boys' school. Especially the all girls' schools, this was a new experience and it was a chance to overcome animosity and misconceptions about each other. Together, with willingness and new friendships, we were able to achieve our goal. I believe it is important to reach out because humanity depends on these little actions, even if it seems insignificant to the whole picture.

I plan to run for ASB president next year so that my school will be able to provide service projects, such as beach clean-ups and convalescent home visits, to involve the student body and give a deeper understanding of social action. I am working very hard to help the environment and also on my studies. In taking the lead, I hope to fulfill my ambition of becoming a scientist.

You are standing on the horizon of a very promising future. Your aspirations seem logical and your visions for yourself are clear. Whatever you do always remember that : "When we are BLESSED it is extremely important to be a BLESSING to some1 else in return."

This good karma you are attempting to spread is going to come back 2 you twenty-fold. Keep up the good work and don't 4get 2 tell your parents "THANKS" for doing such a great job raising YOU!
