I Helped Hurricane Katrina Victims

1_18cbfe8e19c44704e9d4c4f52d200b51.jpgI am taking the lead in school by being a class officer this year - the Junior Class Treasurer.

I am also involved in a leadership class that offers programs like assistance to the ESL (English as a Second Language) students to help integrate them into activities.

We also help the City at Peace program gather donations for the less fortunate. We even acquired a truckload of goods to send to the Hurricane Katrina victims!

Okay, I confess that I am no brainiac. My grades are good, but they could be better. However, I am doing everything I can to get into a good college. I am taking a SAT Prep class in order to prepare for upcoming exam. Also, I am working part-time at a local hair salon and am entering this scholarship opportunity because I am taking the lead in finding my own college funds!
