Although I have always had this positive outlook on life, I am not oblivious that many people are in need of optimism, happiness, and maybe even a little faith. That is why I started the Catholic Kids Club at my high school last year. This club was formed so that teenagers would have a chance to do community service/volunteer work as well as to grow in faith. There are no rules regarding entrance into this club since the moral basis of it is to help the community (and every person and religion is apart of the human community).
For the last two years I have arranged many community service activities for the club, but the most memorable happened this last holiday season. I arranged for our club to support a family for the holiday season. The club had done this last year by just asking for money from people, but that gets so old. Think about it - how many times has someone asked you to donate money for a good cause during the holiday season? So, I decided that this year would be different; it would be fun!
I'm in the pursuit of taking the lead in getting all the Harlem rappers together and putting it together like Atlanta. Just forming an alliance and getting everybody on the same page. Just being down for each other. Everybody just getting together and putting the ego's aside. Y'know where everybody supports everybody. I'm trying to take the lead for Harlem to support everything Harlem is about.
