SPORTS BLOG: U.S. Hoops Squad Gets Revenge On Greece, Shaq & Wifey Patching Things Up, Torre Makes Manny Trim Locks!

Oh my God … the highlights from this one were serious. There was one play that Wade played the lanes, steals the ball and just chucks it up carelessly to Kobe, who flushes it down with two hands. UGGGH! Seeerious!

Yea, the trio of Kobe, LeBron and D. Wade is serious. I asked this before, but let me vary this question a bit. When these Olympic Games are all done, will Kobe, LeBron and D. Wade be considered a better trio than Jordan, Bird and Magic!? Holla at me, maaaan!

Moving on, your boy Ballsy just caught wind that Shaq Diesel and his beautiful wifey Shaunie are patching things up. Apparently, neither could truthfully answer why they were getting a divorce in the first place. HOLD UP!

I thought shortie was smuggling his money into foreign accounts. Well, I’m happy for ’em … even though your boy Ballsy could have easily taken Shaunie off your arm if ya’ll did go through with the divorce. I don’t even make money like that, SOHH, no problems with accounts here. Ha!

Finally … and I don’t really know what to think about this, but former Yankee don and current Dodgers manager Joe Torre ordered Manny Ramirez to trim his dreadlocks a bit. Manny being Manny followed through and trimmed the locks!

Here’s the proof. One inch off.

Here’s Torre’s explanation:

"He came in and showed me. As Billy Crystal said in 'Analyze That,' it's a process. He took a little bit off. It's within the rules of cleaning it up a little bit. Right now, it's around his shoulders. It's not covering his name up. We'll continue to monitor it."

Maaaan, I love Joe Torre, but isn’t he guilty of using a ‘Good ole boy mentality’ here? Manny is a hitting machine. What does his hair have to do with that? NATHAN! NADA! NOTHIN!

Manny should have told him, “LONG HAIR, DON’T CARE!” Who's with me?
