If you're a die-hard boxing fan like me … you've probably got duped and suckered into dropping $50 on what was hyped up to be the "big fight," only to be disappointed by some wack or even foul results.
Well, I have a feeling all of our money will be well spent with this Miguel Cotto-Antonio Margarito fight tomorrow night at the MGM Grand in Vegas. Maaaan, I’ve been waiting for this fight, dude! Let me get my Don King on for a second: I guarantee this will be a FIGHT FOR THE AGES!
Both of these cats are as tough as nails. These are like the only two fighters in the game that when they put the snuffs on dudes, they punch SOHH hard that you could feel it through the television screen.
Both Cotto-Margarito … you’ve got to break them down to beat them. And make no mistakes about it that Puerto Rican/Mexican pride WILL BE ON THE LINE! Are Boriquas still high off Tito beating De La Hoya!? I sure as hell hope not, fam. Any and every boxing fan knows De La Hoya won that fight, but I digress.
As tough as ish as Cotto is, I think Margarito has a legit chance to beat dude. As a matter of fact, I’m picking Margarito by knockout. That dude is one tough ass Mexican. Did ya’ll see Margarito put the snuffs to Cintron!? Come on! I know Cintron ain’t no Cotto, but I think Margarito is primed to win.
I don’t think this fight will be better than Castillo-Corrales (RIP), but we should be talking about this one for a minute. And the best part about it, as Max Kellerman pointed out in the Wall Street Journal … Cotto and Margarito are at the tops of their game.
“A case in point is the 2007 De La Hoya-Mayweather matchup. As well as Oscar fought, this was not the De La Hoya of five years ago. But in Cotto vs. Margarito we have two brilliant boxers who are at the top of their game." – Kellerman
It’s going to be a classic. SOHH WHO’S WINNING, HOW AND WHAT ROUND!? TALK TO ME, MAAAAN!
