My homie John and I were talking about the ESPN Sunday Conversation that Screamin' A Smith (dude's barred from the library) had with Kobe Bryant and we both agreed that even though KB24 didn't want anything to do with the Jordan comparisons (Peep 2:45 of the clip below), we all know in our hearts of hearts that he wants to outdo M.J. and he should want to do that. Kobe sweats MJ ... I don't care what he says in this clip.
SOHH it got us thinking ... what can Kobe do - other than simply lead the Lakers to clinching another NBA championship - to immortalize himself in the game? Then boom, it hit us.
Jordan hit 'The Shot' twice - one on Craig Ehlo in '89 and the other against the Jazz in '98 (before he messed it up by coming back with the Wiz, but all good).
SOHH don't be surprised when Kobe stutter steps from the corner of the three-point line, dribbles across the court and drops the sky hook over three Celtics like Magic did in '87 HaHa.
In all seriousness, Kobe is a surefire Hall of Famer, but he needs a clip like that to add to his all-time archive, when it counts most ... the NBA Finals.
SOHH I ask if Kobe drops the baby sky hook to beat the Celtics and wins his fourth championship, a Finals MVP and Olympic Gold medal, will the Jordan comparisons continue? Absolutely, and the comparisons would be well deserved! Who else could you compare him to? What I find most interesting is that people for the past 10 yrs have made the statement "there will never be another Jordan". Safe to say we might be watching another "Jordan" in the making.
The Kobe dickriders are up early today. I admit you guys are better then the LeBron headdoctors though. At least Kobe can shoot a jumper. Garnett Pierce and Allen deserve their ring. Kobe still has a lot of time left to get his. But this year isn't his year for the championship.
Yeah, he can surpass MJ if he goes to the Finals 6 times as the leader of the team and then win the finals MVP 6 times, go undefeated in the finals(too late for that ha ha ha), make some of the greatest highlights evers seen in the finals...etc etc... Acording to some of the shyt I read in this blog and the comments, Robert Horry is better that Kobe and Mike(he has more rings)...The reason why a lot of older cats dont respect us young kats is because we have no understanding of history and as a whole our memories are about as long as a newborn baby's dik....Kobe aint had to go thru 1/10 of what Mike had to inorder to win chips...Imagine if Mike played in todays game where you aint gotta take those azz whupns from the PissedONS, no hand checkn ...etc etc.. Kobe already has that clip or shot or moment or whatever you wanna call it. Happened 8 years ago. I'll direct your attention to the 2000 finals, game 4 at Indiana. Game goes to overtime, Shaq fouled out. Kobe shakes Reggie off and J's him from the elbow. Looks to the bench and says "I got this". Next possession, another jumper in Reggie's mug. Then another. Then tips in a offensive board. Then another jumper. 10 straight points in OT of a road Finals game with Shaq on the bench. That showed what he was about at 21 years old. Mike got his first ring at 28.

I can't even believe this comparison...this is ridiculous! Jordan wasnt collecting MVPs every year because they were just fed up with giving it to him in a continuous loop. If he had not left the league for 2 years, he would've had 8 rings, no doubt. And like Eli Porter said, duke has to deal with cans of ass whoop! And tougher opponents. The league was more competitive back then, no bitch calls like nowadays. You cant even lay a finger on Kobe. He's a carbon copy of MJ. His jumpers, the way he talks or complains to the reffs, the way he tries to take over the game. This dude is a straight up biter. The league of today has almost no defense! It's just a joke compare to back then. Not only that, check MJ's stats...sit down and watch his games and understand what this man was capable of. First of all, anyone that says the L was tougher back then is a complete idiot. The defenses weren't allowed to play zone or shoot a free throw for illegal defense. Jordan had who to compete against? Exactly!!! Barkley, good, but not great. Magic was the only one that gave a challenge, but was on the downside of career. No one else was good.

I'm a Kobe fan and I love that he is actually humble when it comes down to Michael Jordan. He knows that he can't be Jordan but he can be just him. But don't under estimate him in the finals, they don't call him the "BLACK MAMBA" for no reason. Also even if he doesn't win the championship he proved that he can carry a team with out Shaq!! Another thing is let go of the past, Kobe has proved that with all the BS that has happened that he is still the best all around player that this league has to offer.
