Yesterday in clear damage repair mode, NBA Commissioner David Stern held a press conference to say that crooked ex-ref Tim Donaghy's claims that Game 6 of the 2002 Western Conference Finals between the Lakers and Kings was fixed, is just not true.
Here's what Stern told reporters of Donaghy:
"He turned on basically all of his colleagues in an attempt to demonstrate that he is not the only one who engaged in criminal activity. The U.S. attorney's office, the FBI have fully investigated it, and Mr. Donaghy is the only one who is guilty of a crime."
He also went on to describe Donaghy as a, "convicted felon, who really violated the most sacred trust in sports."
All this sure sounds good, but I got to keep it funky ... as much of a scumbucket, crooked, and coniving con that Donaghy is, I believe him! I think his attitude at this point is I was already caught, SOHH why not just f**k everyone over?
And that's what dude is doing. I mean, the Kings were whistled for 31 fouls in that Game 6. Kobe elbowed Mike Bibby right in the f**king nose, right in front of a ref - No call. Sh*t had to be fixed!

Moving on and switching gears to football for a minute ...
It seems like the Super Bowl Champion New York Giants have a dilemma. Do they spend all their money re-signing both Plaxico Burress and Jeremy Shockey or will they be forced to sign only one!?
Here's my feelings on it: Plaxico proved his worth last year. If f**king Larry Fitzgerald can cop a $40 million four-year deal, then Plax deserves big money too. That jump ball Eli throws to him is about as effective as any QB-WR weapon in the L. The G-Men can't afford to lose Plax! Re-sign him at any cost!
If the Giants can only afford one, I sign Plax over Shockey. I love Shockey's competitive fire, but let's be clear ... dude has durability issues.
That and Kevin Boss played tight end well for the G-Men and showed he can be an adequate starter.
SOHH I ask: If you're the Giants and can only sign one, do you re-sign Burress or Shockey!?

Plexico should get signed, no dicussion. I believe Donaghy, this has been going on for too long. Although I agree it's very hard to fix a game, refs can give a team a distinct advantage. (I.E. Lakers 2002, The Jordan Rules, Hell the 2008 Playofffs) The League is all about money and Stern knows it...

David Stern is scared. He knows what that ref is talking about and that's going to put him in the big house too. Who denies things they're not sure of? That would just make you look stupid if your wrong. NBA commissioners do not speak publicly about things they aren't sure about. They ran that series long.
i'm frum sac and i remember being a senior in H.S. when that series between the lakers and kings was happ'nin. all i could see was a called game, my boys and i all were in pure disbelief. if there was ever such a blatant but covered up fixed game or series, the kings takes it all. that was our year, and we we're robbed. that is why we are still to this day pissed. but we all gotta move on. i did. He may want to put an extra couple of locks on the closet door in the NBA's offices(which is probably filled with crap like this), because it's creaking. THE SHIT WILL HIT THE FAN!!!!! You may not hear about it today or tomorrow, but it will come to light one day. He might want to ask a cheerleader or two to "take special care" of the exsisting refs in the league because should he piss them off, tongues will start wagging. You know what I love about the NBA? When Stern didn't care who won the East that year, and just wanted to continue the "laker dynasty", he plans got fucked up by the Pistons, that was one of my favorite moments in NBA history.

& definitely keep plax, i would say keep shockey 2, but as we seen he's injury-prone. Boss will prolly have options w/e his contract expires and depending on when that is, it wouldn't be a good idea to have a banged up shockey and another untested backup. Let me explain this real clearly for all you mental midgets: There may be some games that we fixed by crooked zebras, but of all major sports, the NBA is the LEAST LIKELY TO BE FIXED. NFL refs are part time employees who can call holding on literally any play they want. EVERY home plate umpire has his own personal strike zone. College hoops is as hard to referee as the NBA, the players aren't paid, & they've had multiple point shaving scandals in the past - NCAA basketball games are almost definitely fixed at least a few times per year. If the NBA was fixing games to get the Finals matchups they want, we'd NEVER see San Antonio vs Cleveland, and The Knicks would never go almost 10 years without getting a sniff. I would never trust the word of a man who's talking to stay out of jail. All this is mental masterbation with premature ejaculation.

What I saw was Kobe elbow Mike Bibby in da nose with the ref lookin right at it and den LA went and scored and it was inda closin minutes they shot 27 free throws in that fourth quarter, one quarter!
and the leauge did want LeBron in tha finals anyway cus he's the second best player in the league, but they couldnt do nothin about the Spurs, I mean who wanted to see the Jazz?
