Projected to pick ninth with a 1.7 percent chance of winning the lottery, the Bulls hit the jackpot last night landing the number one pick. (Did y'all see Hov representing for the soon-to-be Brooklyn Nets?)
Anyway, the Bulls hit the JACKPOT! Ya just never know with the lottery. Even though greasy hair Pat Riley tanked the season for the Miami, purposely losing games in hopes of securing the first pick, the Heat came away with the second overall pick. WAMP, WAMP ... KARMA SUCKERS.
The Minnesota Timberwolves will go third. Seattle fell to fourth, Memphis fifth, Knicks sixth (Jerryd Bayless!?), Clippers seventh, Bucks eighth, Charlotte ninth and Nets 10th.
But back to the Chi ... the funny thing is they have no coach, but do have the good problem of choosing between Michael Beasley and Derrick Rose. Both are beasts, both are going to be franchise players in the L. It's all about who's the better fit for Chicago. If you pick Beasley, you can pair him with Joakim Noah and Luol Deng to form a young tough frontcourt.
If you pick D. Rose, you can have him run the point with Ben Gordon at the two, or you can move BG. Whatever you want to do. Win-Win. Good day to be from the Chi (Word to Common and Kanye).
Moving on, there's been a lot of talk about O.J. Mayo slipping in the Draft because of his background.
Mayo allegedly accepted cash and gifts - including a flat-screen for his dorm (wow) - from a promoter while at USC, a distinct NCAA violation.
On Tuesday night, Timberwolves' boss Kevin McHale promised whether that's true or not, it won't affect Mayo in the Draft. Look how funky McHale kept it with the AP:
"No, not at all," McHale said after the draft lottery. "Tell you what, if you said that every person who ever took any money in college would not be drafted, it'd be slim pickings."
I'm happy dude said that because my thing is cats funnel money down to the fam ALL THE TIME, while still in college. These street agents/promoters are like pu**y...they're everywhere - you just have to plug into one. It's the way of the world, these days. If you're going to get Mayo, get EVERYONE! Many of these cats are caked up, while in college. Trust the Ballsy one. And even if they're clean broke, they're going to be rich (bi*ch!) in a minute.

Go big, Beasly is beast. Rose is nice, but most NBA guards are. Penny, Steph, J-Kidd are great guards that never won a ring. Rose maybe better but Bigman gets title faster. Ask Kobe about what Gasol does for him?
I'm a lifetime Chicagoan/Bulls fan so I am pretty informed and educated about what they need.
That being said, we drafting Rose. Gordon,Hinrich,Duhon, Hughes,and Nocioni(or Deng if the offer is right) are all up for grabs tradewise. Somehow Paxson is going to make a move and trade for a scoring big man with them. I see Gordon(Pax don't like him) and Duhon as going first if it happens. Personally,I think we cool for now.Gordon is Vinnie "The Microwave" Johnson....GREAT for coming off the bench and scoring in bunches. Hinrich is a better defender and much more consistent.Can you imagine that backcourt?!?!?!? 6'5" Rose teamed up with 6'4" Hinrich?!?!?!? SICK!
