We Major Wednesdays: Kobe vs. Chris Paul - The MVP Debate, 'Melo Sorry, Isiah's Last Day on The Job

What up, world!?

By now if it ain't clear that the MVP race is down to Kobe Bryant and Chris Paul, then yo ass hasn't been paying attention.

You can't make the argument for LeBron anymore, especially since dude couldn't even lead Cleveland to a top 3 seed in the weak ass East. SMH. SOHH, like I said it's down to Kobe and CP3. Here's how these cats stack up:

Kobe vs. Chris Paul - OFFENSE

Chris Paul got an underrated offensive game because he's a protypical point guard that thinks pass first, score second. Still, he gets his, averaging 21.1 points per game. Chris Paul's offensive game is nice, but Kobe's a killa, finishing the season averaging 28.3. SOHH cold and vicious. That's that Black Mamba!
ADVANTAGE: KOBE

KB24 vs. CP3 - DEFENSE

CP leads the league in steals, with just over two pick-pockets, highway robberies or jack moves per game. Kobe is good for at least one steal per, maybe two. SOHH that's pretty even right there. I do think Kobe is a better position defender, while CP plays the passing lanes better.

Kobe vs. Chris Paul - WHO MEANS MORE TO THEIR TEAM!?

When comparing MVP candidates, I think the most simple question to ask, is also the most important: Who means/does more to/for their team? Wow, this is the hardest to answer between Kobe and CP. On one hand, Kobe is FINALLY making his teammates better. Nah, scratch that ... he's demanding their best and is getting it, like a certain No. 23, tongue-hanging cat used to do. Even with Pau Gasol, I don't think the Lakers would even make the cut out West, if they didn't have KB24 leading the way.

On the other hand, you got CP, who's responsible for 49% of the Hornets offense, whether it comes by his points or assists. That sh*t's incredible, dog! 49 percent! Translation: His team would be paralyzed without him. And dude leads the league in assists with over 11 dimes per game. It's hard to bet against Kobe here, but I got to give the nod in this category to CP.
ADVANTAGE: CP3

SOHH there, I wound up with a tie....SOHH WHO SHOULD WIN THE MVP!? I STILL SAY KOBE!

I think you got to give it to dude. He has a killer instinct that nobody in the L has. I know you judge the MVP on the regular season, but let's see CP lead his squad in the playoffs. Until then, you gotta give the MVP to Kobe. It's his year, not Paul's. What do y'all think!?

Moving on, 'Melo apologized for being drunk as a skunk and pulled over for a DUI.

Should the Nuggets suspend dude!?

Finally, the end is near for Isiah Thomas. As Marv Albert would say, "YEHHHSSS!" Isiah, pack your sh*t and get the f**k out of town. Take Stephon with you. Thomas gone after the Knicks' season finale tonight, Stephon and Curry bought out, Zach Randolph traded and the Knicks draft Derrick Rose to be its LEADING point guard for the next 10 years. WHAT DREAMS ARE MADE OF!

Leave your best wishes for Isiah here. I'm going to print them out and mail them to the Knicks.

Your Boy,

SOHH Ballsy

ya kobe deserves it over cp
melo's a drunkie
isiah should be FIRED

Like you said Paul accounts for 49% of his teams offense, you have to give it to Paul over anyone b/c he's doing more w/ less...The starters on his team would be be bench riders anywhere else, that's also why I considered Lebron too, but they aren't even top seed in they're conference...At the end of the day Kobe,KG,Steve Nash have parrenial All Stars by there sides WHO does CP3 have

KOBE FOR MVP...CHRIS PAUL IS AN INCREDIBLE ATHLETE BUT KOBE NEVER WON THE MVP??? WTF? & MELO is str8 bitch-made...nobody forgot about him runnin after that sucker punch fucin flamer should down with g-unit...

I gave up with Zeke about 2 months ago after he didnt make that trade for ARTEST.
Jared Jeffries has 2 be the worst fuccin player in the nba!!
please trade Curry for i dont know Kwame Brown...

Kobe Has Been Putting Up MVP #'s For Years and This Year They Got The Record To Back It...
If he Dont Get it This Year Then WTF??..
I Dont Think The Knicks Should Trade Randolph Though That Nigga Can Be Nasty!!!!

knicks should let marbury play bacup trade crawford for tj ford...trade randolph for artest & prob will get the # 3 or #4 pick. How about this lineup..

Chandler
Lee
KwameBrown
Artest
TJ Ford

Ok, Chris Paul's season was more unexpected and he is deserving of MVP, but his starters would be benchriders? Really? How about David West, a former national college player of the year and oh by the way an all-star? How bout Tyson Chandler? Former number 3 pick out of HS and a younger version of Marcus Camby--- he'd be riding bench? And Peja?? Umm he was a former All-NBA, still got one of the best Js in the game. And arguably the best collection of role players in the West. So while surprising the were so good all season, it really shouldn't be as they do have a SQUAD with Chris Paul breaking through and leading them spectacularly.

To Mr. Isiah Thomas,

Congratulations on making the New York Knicks the laughing stock of all major American sports franchises. You successfully destroyed the dreams of hundreds of thousands of New Yorkers who had faith that the post-Van Gundy years would be years of rebuilding. You successfully proved to the world that Stephan Marbury is to a NBA team what cancer is to the human body. You taught all the other teams in the NBA that you they can never win more than 20 games a season by starting 5 niggas under 6'3".

Mr. Thomas, even though I am a Houston Rocket's fan, I am sure that New Yorkers young and old appreciate how fucked away draft pick, after draft pick, after draft pick for brilliant players like Zach Randolph, Fred Jones, Dan Dickau, Channing Frye Jerome James and Jared Jeffries. But through all the losing, you the Knicks were winners at spending the most money for the most bum players.

Thanks for making NY as garbage on the court as they are in hiphop.

Sincerly,
Bobby Drake

az40 you outta yo fucc'n mind my equal, how the fucc would they be bench warmers? david west is an all-star, tyson chandler just missed out on the all-star team,he has paja to hit 3's,the only area where they are kinda solf at is the 2!!! and they can put bonzi there, and mo pete is not a bum, hell what kobe and the lake show did this year was incredible,i mean we had to do this shit with kwame brown and luke i can't guard anyone walton are you serious, get yo head examined, and all these sports writers who favor paul and they "this is not a life time achievement award". hahah yall make me laugh, them sports writers are the same who gave mvp to nash for two years, when the best player the first year he won it was shaq, who's team ended up winning the title, the year after that going off performance it was easily kobe's year, and we don't want to talk about dirk last year haha, you got to play both sides of the ball,i give cp3 and k.g. that, they do that, but what other player goes into opposing team's house and they fans (even boston last year) chant M.V.P.!!!! it's easy kobe yell

Like I have said time & time again CP3 had a great year but this is definetly Kobe's year to win MVP he been should have won about two or three of the last three shit! Plus remember nobody was even picking the Lakers to even make the playoffs or if they did to barely make it the beginning of the year! Without a doubt it's Kobe for MVP!

@ Bobby Drake

Houston's Hip-Hop scene, with the exception of Scarface and the Geto Boys, has been a joke for years.....along with its' sports teams!

LOLOLOL!!!!
New York Knicks.
Man am I happy Im a Raptors fan.

the knicks need to trade curryn zach. Try 2 get chris wilcox sum1 who plays hard nose d. Buy out Marbury time 4 that dude 2 go. Both jj need to b let go draft rose

I want someone to name a perennial all star on the Lakers besides Kobe Bryant and dont say Pau Gasol because he hasn't been to the All-Star Game for a majority of his time in the N.B.A and Lamar Odom has never been to an All-Star game. Neither has D-Fish or any of the other young guys on the squad. Yes Kobe has experienced players on his squad but they are not perrenial all-stars these are very good role players that need a superstar scorer. Key Word NEED that is Valuable.

KOBE!!!! You can't even question what he's done and how much he means to his team. I ain't never seen Chris Paul miss an inside shot and hustle back down the court to block a lay-up....I've seen Kobe do that shit MORE THAN ONCE! If that ain't Defense, what is?

The Nuggets are goin to beat the Lakers ass!!....sorry Golden State ya'll just wasn't built for it

Great job on this debate man. It definitely comes down to Kobe and Paul. I think its close and I think Kobe will be awarded the trophy, but I believe it should be Chris Paul. Kobe is the MVP for whining about his teammates so much that it motivated them. I do agree that he has finally made them better, but all in all his supporting cast is better. They were 28-16 before the Gasol trade and 29-9 after. Without that trade they do not win the West. Chris Paul took his teammates and made them infinitely better. West is the only one that is a stud even without Paul. If there were 2 awards then Paul should be MVP and Kobe is the Player of the Year. Either way, great job on the breakdown.
