WTF's Wrong With The Miami Heat!? D. Wade Done For Year, Pat Riley Skips Games, Rockets Win 19th Straight

Posted on March 10, 2008 10:16 PM

Maan, what the f**k is wrong with the Miami Heat!?

It's crazy looking at this team being an NBA-worst 11-51, knowing that they won the championship not too long ago. Sh*t is really crazy when you think about it.

But being SOHH far in the basement, the Heat announced Monday that they're shutting down Dwyane Wade's season with the final 20 games left. No surprise there. Dude's been hobbling around on that knee for a minute.

Here's what Dwyane told the Associated Press about shutting it down for the season:

"I'm doing what's right," Wade said. "I would love to be out there with my teammates, but in the long run, I think my teammates would love for me to be healthy and be out there with them when we're fighting to get in the playoffs again."

Before Monday's announcement was even made Pat Riley announced that he would skip out on a lot of the Heat's games to scout NCAA March Madness action. Riles already scouted Indiana's Eric Gordon. If he's going to continue scouting his ass better peep Mike Beasley because dude's a beast ... and a no brainer for No. 1 pick if you ask me.

SOHH what do y'all think about D. Wade shutting it down and Riley skipping out to scout, while the season is still going on!? I know they have no shot of making the playoffs, but I still never heard of a coach leaving while the season's still going on! Holla at me about all this, maan!

The Rockets won their 19th straight game last night and are currently the No. 3 seed in the West! But do you think Houston will have a problem and not be able to keep that spot? Speak on it!

Your Boy,

  • Expect to see Wade hobbling like that for a while if he has no enforcer in the post to protect him due to his style of play. Pat Riley's just being himself, fair-weather. He loaded his roster with older players and now that he's either traded them off, or they've played themselves out of the league, he wants to cop out.

  • Beasley number 1? possibly. But don't leave out Derrick Rose. Dude is killin it in memphis. He's a better shooter than Jason Kidd (not saying Much) but dude has major major potential to grow. Can't nobody run like him. He's like the Chad Johnson of shit around there. I bet dude could outrun a horse. lol. but other than that, Anthony Randolph might break that top 5 drafts pick. dudes only a freshman, but already drawin comparrisons to fellow left hander Chris Bosh.
draft picks this year are gonna be for future growth. Don't look for anyone to come in the game and take over right away.
    I should be on Sportscenter

  • Pat Riley is gonna leave the heat again? No surprise there. Remember last year when he ditched the team when they were in a slump because of "personal reasons"? Now hes shutting the season down to go scout talent. I thought thats what the off-season was for? Hes a fair-weather coach just like Odessey said. When they are championship caliber hes there all day yelling and comin up with strategies to get better. When times get hard hes nowhere to be found. And as far as D-Wade he should shut it down and get healthy. Its a lost season and theres no reason on risking further injury for nothing except stats.

  • Im from Houston so Im mad excited about the Houston Rockets! They are playing mad good together and being a team. There D is great and even if T-Mac has an off night they still find ways to win. Mutumbo is the best blocker in the game right now and its mad funny when he blocks it. Finger wave! I was at the New Jersey game last night and we killed them and dint even play our best. Im anxious to see how we play the Lakers Sunday.
