Is Sam Cassell The Missing Piece For The Celtics? Moss Resigns With Pats - 3-Yr, $27M Deal

Posted on March 4, 2008 12:35 AM

Aight, SOHH Sam Cassell is expected to sign with the Celtics sometime today. SOHH what if he resembles E.T. sam%20cass.jpg etmovie.jpg

The dude's still a helluva ball player and definitely brings that playoff-tested grit that the Celtics need. Just like Paul Pierce and Jesus Shuttleworth ... Sam is clutch too. He also played with KG, so there's history there.

And I don't want to hear all that caca about dude being a scorer and not a true point guard. He's still a significant upgrade from Rajon Rondo! COME ON! Funny, I mention Rondo, who will now play backup, because out of all the clips ... look what I found on Sam Cassell:

Rondo probably called him ugly. You know how those kids getting teased their whole lives just snap? Well, that's what happened on that play. Even though dude allegedly boned Ananda Lewis (remember her?)

Anyway, I ask y'all - Is Sam Cassell, 38, the missing piece the Celtics needed? Is he enough for Boston to win it all now? Holla at me, maaan!

Now, moving on and switching to football real quick, your man Randy Moss came to his senses and resigned with the Patriots for three years - $27 million. About time, homie! Where can you get money like that and play with a QB like Tom Brady!?

Dude was tripping holding out as long as he did. Nevertheless, I still must ask, would there have been a better fit for Moss than the Patriots? If anyone says, 'yes,' I gotta hear why! Speak on it!

Sam "Can Sell" is the missing piece for the C"s. But that doesnt matter because the Cavs got a whole lot better and its still gotta go through them and Detroit.

  • I think Sam's a quick fix at the PG for this year and maybe next year but I don't see him being the guy that pushes them to the Finals. Boston's weakness has been all season their lack of depth. And if you think Ray's clutch in the play-offs, I'll have to see the stats 'cause dude folds like a lawn-chair during any game of significance. Ask Kobe.

  • JAX would have been a better fit for Moss. They got GREAT running game, accurate, smart QB and great YOUNG defense. The Pats getting older and older. Not a good look for Moss

  • Cassell will definitely help out the celtics. They need him defensively because Chauncey is waaaaay to big of a problem for Rondo. Ray Allen is still clutch...As far as that ask Kobe(comment above mine) part...Kobe is the best defender at his position so of course he can help shut down Ray Allen. Ray used to put in work for the bucks in the playoffs, He'll do the same in Boston.

  • I dont wanna hear no bull,,, Celtics are the new Beast in the East - and Sam Casell brings experience for the playoffs,, its a great pick up... im sure Rondo will still start, but.. hes still young and if that young point guard is struggling deep in the playoffs- what better backup to have then Sam I Am... This also makes the Celtics Deeper on the bench with the addition of another 14 year veteren player PJ Brown...

Lets Face It Celtics are the team to beat - Might I add three hungary superstars who have yet to win a ring on the same team..... Do I even have to type there names.....

  • If moss wants a superbowl he should of went to a different team, all these players who go to the pats to win superbowls have been empty handed for the past 3 years, plus the pats just lost 3 key players this year and their starters r gettin older, the eagles be a good match for moss, cuz mcnabb just shook off knee surgey that affected his performance the begginning of last season, and he was back to his regular self at the end, jax be a better match, dallas wouldn't cuz there's only enough room for 1 good reciever,gb be a good match if farve stayed
