The Pistons beat the Celtics last night, snapping their winning streak. And who was responsible with the game on the line? Mr. Big Shot Chauncey Billups.
With 1.7 seconds left and the Pistons holding onto a slim lead, Billups pumped-faked on a younger Tony Allen, drew the foul and iced the game from the charity stripe with a tenth of a second left to give the D the 87-85 victory. Billups wound up with a team-high 28 points and eight assists. KG led Boston with 26 points and 12 rebounds.
After the game, KG told reporters why Chauncey's hot (pause):
"Chauncey's one of the best clutch players in the league," Garnett said. "You know the clock's winding down. You don't put it on one person. We have to roll on."
That's all Chauncey does, man - hit big shots, baby! One of the best clutch players ever I think. Chuuch!
But do you think Chauncey belongs in the same class of clutch performers as Michael Jordan, Reggie Miller, Magic Johnson, etc.? Let the kid know.
Moving on, the Blazers won again, beating the Raptors, 101-96. Again, Brandon Roy, the problem child, finished with a team-high 25 points. He's a PROBLEM!
The Knicks actually beat the Cavaliers...but still suck. I'm sorry, what you want me to do!? I don't believe you (Knicks), you need more people!
Finally, my homie brought up a good point and I wanted to run it by y'all: Can the Jaguars beat the Patriots? Well, check this out. The Jaguars are the one tough AFC team that New England hasn't played during the regular season. Jacksonville is big, nasty and when it wins, hogs the time of possession. SOHH what do y'all think?

I give it up to Detroit even though the won on a a foul by Tony Allen..(bad coaching decision) with 0.01 seconds left..They are a great team.
Boston is still the better team. they just haven't found thier groove as a team yet..whihc is scary considering they are 20-3. but now we know allen is the go to guy..KG needs to step up offensively...

I have been following and enjoying Piston's ball for years. I think they have a good team. Hell, I have watched them win the finals with essentially this team. This year they have a deeper bench which should help them in playoff time. The big issue that I continue to see is the fact that they still don't have a big man. They still don't have a large go-to guy. What happens when all those perimeters guys struggle on the same night? I was impressed with the Celtics and fear that they will dominate the Pistons the rest of the year. Too bad, since the Pistons have had several years to try to obtain someone with presence in the paint.

Billups is clutch but he not as clutch as MJ was. He can be turnover prone too sometimes. The other night against the Celtics, he turned the ball over in the final seconds, it just so happens that Pierce missed that shot and Tony Allen fouled Billups. Had those two things not happened, it could've been a total different outcome. Not taking anything away from CB cus the boi got game but u can't compare him to MJ in the clutch. I don't see the Jags beating the Pats but it could happen, just not likely.

naw, as a detroit fan i think chauncy shoulda been traded. clutch moves aiight but solidity is key. pistons shoulda knocked the cavs last year, but didn't. all because of chauncy billups. he needs to get off the Rock Financial billboards and step that game up to be a jordan or miller.
Yo Ballsy whose your dealer man, he must have some sour diesel cause you trippin...Chauncey is good player, but he's far from one of the greatest ever. Like others said before he hits the big shots because he always taking them...He's a SG playing PG and when the game gets tight he don't pass, that's why they lost to Cavs last year when they were clearly a better team. The only reason why call him Mr. Big Shot is because Mr. Big Head is too disrespectful.
Seriously though, he's nowhere as clutch as MJ, Magic, Bird, Isaiah, Miller, Horry,..those dudes were clutch.
The Pistons only won one title and that was because of Rasheed and Tayshaun...Billups might be one of the most over-rated players in NBA history though, he shouldn't have won that MVP award.
He's good but not that good. He's not even the best player on his team...Rasheed, Tayshaun, and Rip are arguably better players than Chauncey,
Big-Shot Bob Horry is better clutch than Billups. Maybe best All Time after Mike.
Of course the Jags CAN beat the Pats ANYONE CAN ... but I got a MILLY that says NOONE WILL ....
